No matter how hard I tried I couldn't get any response out of Michael and fear was starting to choke me. Whatever curse he had broken must have been more powerful than he anticipated or he just didn't care about the consequences. Many men had tried before him to break the Darklords curse and all had failed in the end leaving the curse still in effect and twice as strong. Darkmagic came over next to me and I staggered to my feet groaning with the weight of Michael as pushed him onto his horse. Blood was spilling from the side of his mouth and I choked back a sob as I manifested a silk rope that I quickly tied him onto his horse with and a towel that I pressed against his mouth.

"Please, we need to get to the Oracle" I screamed at the people around me and they all glanced over me and solemn looks covered their faces as they took in the sight of Michael. I didn't even wait for a reply as I scrambled onto Exavier and took off into the air leading Darkmagic and pressing them as fast as they could go. The entire way there I would glance back praying that he would have stopped losing blood but it still dripped onto Darkmagics side and he kept getting paler by the minute. By the time the castle came into view tears were spilling down my cheeks and I could barely see the door as I jumped off and banged on it.

"Open up! Please, I can't lose him." I raised my hand to pound on it once more but stopped as the door swung open and a girl about my age stood before me. She was a little shorter then I and had long light brown hair that brushed her waist. Gold eyes, the sign of the Oracle studied me beneath her bangs.

"Yes?" she asked and I replied by stepping aside and gesturing toward Michael. "Bring him inside at once" she mumbled and turned abruptly leaving the door open. Matthew untied him and swung him over his shoulder making me wince as I thought of the pain it might bring Michael but I was way too weak to carry him myself. The inside of the castle was dimly lit and smelled heavily of herbs and spices. Matthew gently laid Michael down on a bed in an adjoining room that the Oracle had pointed to.

"Now get out" she said matter of factly. I glared at her and was about ready to protest when Matthew and Tiffany grabbed my arms and pulled me out of the room making me huff in anger and plop down on a chair. For an entire six hours I stayed there with my arms crossed glaring at my so called friends until the curtain opened and the Oracle stepped out.

"He is fine" she said "Sorry if I was rude earlier it was just that I had never seen anyone in that bad of shape before in my life. My name is Brissanna by the way."

"May I see him?" I asked totally ignoring the formalities of introducing myself and my companions. A slight grin covered her lips as she nodded her head and I dashed to the room. The first thing I noticed was all the blood was gone and the second thing I noticed was he was asleep. I quietly walked over to a wooden chair next to his bed and sat down studying him for any signs of ailments or harm. He looked totally fine other then he was still a little pale.

"Ashley" he mumbled as his eye lids started to flutter and then opened revealing his emerald eyes. At first they were a little unfocused but they landed on me and a smile graced his lips as he breathed my name again. I smiled back at him and promptly punched his arm.....hard.

"Ow, what was that for?"

"For almost killing yourself you jerk" I retorted and he grinned at my answer.

"Oh come on you know you love me."

"Fat chance buddy" I mumbled as I leaned in and kissed him on the cheek. "Get some sleep." I got up and headed out the door turning around one last time to see that he was already asleep and lightly snoring.

"I'm sorry about what happened in the Darklords castle" I heard Matthew whisper to Tiffany as I entered the dining room.

"It's okay. I'm still alive aren't I?" she joked and I quickly turned around and headed back to Michales room before they started doing or saying things I did not want to hear. Luckily there were to beds in the room and I went over to the empty one a fell onto it ignoring the fact that I still had to talk to Brissanna and fell asleep.
