Angela Felicia looks over her shoulder every ten feet, but nothing is chasing her. She makes it to the city in no time. She pants, unsure as to what her next move will be. They will never stop looking for her.

Maybe she could enlist the help of the Lunar Federation? No. They would obliterate her. What information could be of value to them? She knows nothing. Beast Maker likes it that way. His Beasttiaries are just drones to him to achieve what he cannot.

She read about the Purgatory Scouts. Seven deadly warriors with the same mission as her. Find the Ugoneagems for their master. They abandoned their mission, but how? Angela holds her Hidroconic in her hand. She remembered reading about how they destroyed their cellular devices making them impossible to track.

The Purgatory Scouts had a five-year head start to reset their lives. Angela tosses her device in the gutter. A thud resonates with her. She sees an old library right next to her.

It is bright outside, but she swears a light shined on the front doors for a few seconds. She gravitates towards the old doors. Now would be a great time to leave the city, but what good will that do? He will send Lilith after her or another deadly Beasttiary like the Exterminator.

The Exterminator is in another galaxy causing all sorts of damage. The robot is near indestructible making him a force to be reckoned with. Exterminator is a top-class Beasttiary. If she is lucky, Beast Maker will not summon him as he will hopefully consider it a waste of resources.

In the age of digital consumption, the library is surprisingly busy. Although, most are using the public library computers. She does catch Cameron Starrun and Evie Facilier out of the corner of her eye. They are sitting at a table with books laid out on it.

Hannah Banks and Derrick Clinton are in another section of the library, browsing the nonfiction section.

"I can't believe you have never been to a library before." Hannah laughs.

"I never understood the whole point of reading." He replies, grabbing a thick history book off the shelf.

"Escapism and knowledge." Hannah replies, seeming cheerier than before. "This place is full of unique and fun worlds to explore. Sure, you can get that from watching television, but I don't know. It just does not feel the same. Growing up, my father used to read me all sorts of stories before I went to bed at night."

Angela approaches the table as Evie Facilier leaves to meet up with Hannah and Derrick. "Mind if I sit?" She asks, pointing to an empty seat.

The exasperated Cameron looks up at her. "Sure."

"You alright?" She replies, taking a seat. "Science kicking your butt?"

"I swear these scientists be making anything up. Like since when was Superman's home planet an element?"

"You plan on being a scientist?"

"No. This is just for school."

"You know what you want to do after you graduate?"

"Haven't really thought about it. My brother keeps asking me that question. I just always say the Air Force."

"My dream is to be a fashion designer, but my father does not approve of it. I want to leave, but I will have nowhere to go."

"Unsupportive, huh?" Cameron replies.

"They want me to do something else. I was going to do it, but I'm having second thoughts."

"Do you ever just think about leaving?"

"He is very, how do I say this?" Angela sighs. "Overprotective. He won't let me leave. My only purpose in life is to do what he wants."
