"Salazar Hex. This thing is busted. I thought you fixed it?" Brandi Kobi growls, holding up her Data Accessor.
"You told me to fix the screen, and I did." Salazar Hex replies while coding something in his bedroom. "You didn't tell me to fix anything else."
Brandi cannot get mad at him for it is true. She thought fixing the screen would fix her powers. What else could be wrong? The teleportation technology worked, but something went wrong.
"I don't know what's wrong."
"I saw the mall attack. It appears that you are not one for this Earth much longer, after you triggered the suit."
Brandi steps back in shock, her face as white as snow. "What?" She exclaims.
"Don't insult my intelligence." He replies as he looks at the black screen with green letters on his monitor. "I fix your yellow device and later a mysterious person wearing yellow shows up at the mall. That technology is too advanced for this time, and I highly doubt you are part of some top secret government agency. My guess is that you are from some alternate Earth."
Brandi crosses her arms. "I could be from the future."
Salazar looks at her, his eyes moving up and down. "I did some extensive research. Another Brandi Kobi is in Washington DC at the White House with her mother. You two look nearly identical and are the same age."
"I can see why you have the highest IQ in the country."
"I have been studying multiversal theory in hopes of one day traveling the multiverse. Each Earth rotates at a different frequency and the inhabitants do as well. If you leave your Earth, you will slowly be torn apart." Salazar explains. "My guess is, you have been here for about four years, so how did you get here?"
Brandi reaches down her dress and pulls out a small metal cylinder looking device with buttons on the top. "I tape this to my dress for safe keeping. It is linked to my device, similar to Bluetooth."
Salazar grabs the device out of her hand. "If it is Bluetooth, then it should have a limited range. What happens when you summon your suit?"
"My current clothes are replaced with my suit back at my house."
"I see. So, it looks like your device was teleported with your civilian clothes, putting you out of range. And I think you can put the rest together."
"So, the Data Accessor is not the problem?"
"Correct. Your device's cracked screen was the only problem." Salazar responds.
"The Dimensional Manipulator only has enough power for one more jump. I left Universe-3, four years ago, with the intention of gathering allies, but up until a few weeks ago, there were no heroes."
"I don't know what to tell you, but the Crystal Keepers are from this universe. They will die if they travel to your Earth, or universe as you call it."
"The collective term is Universe, but I am from Earth-3."
"What happened in your Universe?"
"Five years ago, an alien landed on Earth and began his search for mystical gems to conquer the universe. Multiple citizens found them, and luckily for him, the ones who found them were psychopaths. We actually know a few of them." Brandi sighs. "But as far as I know, there are only six found out of seven. If he gets the seventh, he can harness all the powers and do who knows what."
"What if he just came here and took one?"
"Wouldn't work. They have different cosmic signatures." Brandi says, strapping her device back onto her arm. "What's funny is that there are actually three cosmic stars that have immense power. The primordial cosmic star is the strongest and can create whatever he wants using just one mystical artifact."
"What if Beast Maker recombines them all into one star? What if he gets all three stars?"
"I don't even want to think about what will happen." Brandi sighs.
"Maybe I can build something to allow the Crystal Keepers to go to Universe-3."
Brandi's world lights up. Her eyes glimmer. "You think that will work?"
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Dove Boyce Cooper speaks up, shocking both teens.
Brandi turns around and sees her in her cheerleading uniform standing next to a girl in red. "Brandi Kobi, you are under arrest for violation of Code: 89." The cloaked girl says.
"Who the hell are you supposed to be?" Salazar Hex exclaims.
"Lunar Federation." Brandi replies. "Dove, you're a member?"
"I was just recently recruited." Dove smiles. "I still have to get my suit and codename though."
"You don't understand. I need to make it back to my Earth and save it."
"You do not have authorization to travel the multiverse."
Brandi grins, coming up with a way out of her predicament. "I am actually trying to save my Earth. How do you think my friends will feel knowing you tried to stop me? You don't want to mess with the Crystal Keepers." Brandi laughs. "If you arrest me, the world will know of your existence and will brand you as allies of Beast Maker."
"You know the Crystal Keepers?" Dove responds, trying to call her 'bluff', only it is not. She noticed the watches with the one red button and three black buttons.
"Yes."
The woman in red's black digital watch's screen blinks red. She presses the button, and it stops. "Understood." She nods her head. "I have more important matters to attend to." She stoically adds. "Let's go, rookie."
And with that, they vanish into thin air. "What the hell just happened?" Salazar asks.
"Damn, Lunar Federation. Always popping up and doing nothing to help." Brandi scowls.
"Shall we get down to business?" Salazar asks, examining the Dimensional Manipulator.
"You think you can fix my predicament?" The waist-length orange haired girl questions.
The man in the lab coat responds with, "It may take me a while, but I think I can manage."
She tosses an envelope with fifteen grand on his bed. "That should suffice."
