Communication 9: Just a game and a nickname!

Narrator's POV:

This chapter begins with Yamai, Osana, Henry and other 4 students playing a little game together, meanwhile, Komi and Tadano looked at them having fun. Tadano and Komi want to play too. Henry noticed this and got up and next to their desks.

Henry: "Hey Tadano, Komi, do you wanna join us?"

Tadano and Komi: "...Mm-mh..."

Henry: 'Ah, this is a great sign! But... those are the popular kids in the class... ' He thought referring to his classmates he was playing with. Henry thought that joining them is next to impossible.

Henry turned on his lightbulb and told them that they'll tell Najimi and Agari to play with the three of them after school. However, Najimi eavesdropped.

Najimi: "Yo, Komi, Tadano! You want to join us? Come on then!" Everyone reacted in a different way:

Komi started getting very nervous.

Tadano was very happy that he'll be joining them, he grew his cat ears.

Yamai started doing her makeup.

And the other 4 students were... "praying"?

Henry's case however, I think it was quite obvious .

Henry: 'You eavesdropping bastard...'

Henry started reading the enviroment and understood that Najimi wanted to improve their communication skills a measure like such was needed. Henry went with them.

The rest agreed to let Tadano and Henry join too, but in reality they didn't want to. Henry was starting to get angry and was about to blow.

Najimi decided that, since the saito game was a bit too difficult, they decided to play "Yubisuma": A player says a 'Yubisuma' and then end it with a number. Then everyone must raise one, two or none of their thumbs. If the player guesses the number correctly,you lower one fist. You win when both of your fists are gone.

Najimi: "Ok, I'll go first. Yubisuma six!" (Thumbs raised: 5) "Aw, one short!"

Yamai: "Yubisuma nine! (Thumbs raised: 9) "Got it!"

Henry: "Yubisuma four! (Thumbs raised: 3) "Dang it, one short too..."

Tadano tried to say it and managed to do so, which made Henry very proud.

Tadano: "Y-Yubisuma z-zero!" (Thumbs raised: 0) Tadano made a big smile, showing that he was proud of getting it right, both the phrase and the guess.

It's Komi's turn. She was unable to say the phrase, but she could only say the number.

Komi "..........................Five...................."

Yamai and her crew raised their thumbs on purpose to let her win. Komi and Tadano ended up winning and Henry ended up last.

Najimi: "Seems like you're getting the hang of it, say, how about we add a punishment?"

Henry, Komi and Tadano were having a bad feeling about it.

Najimi: "The game, 'Bamboo shoot'! The punishment, show your kissy face!"

Everyone on Yamai's crew wanted to see Komi's kissy face, except for Henry and Tadano because she was their partner.

Bamboo shoots is a game where players have their heads down and look like if they're in a cult, until one of them rises their arms saying "One shoot!" and the rest of the players must continue until every player went through, if a player says the wrong number or takes too long to answer, the player loses and gets punished.

Everyone was a lot more into it this time.

Najimi and Yamai's group: "Bamboo! Bamboo! Shoot! Shoot! One shoot now!" The six of them lose and ended up showing their kissy face.

Najimi: "Alright one more time, Bamboo! Bamboo! Shoot! Shoot! One shoot now!"

Henry: "Is that fair!?"

The rest of the players went in order, almost in sync, until it was Henry's turn. Everyone were really trying to see Komi's kissy face. Everyone stared at Henry with 'you better win' looks, while Komi was with a 'what am I supposed to do again?' look, and Tadano was distracted looking out the window.

Henry lost, not because he didn't want to embarrass Komi, but because he took too long.

The bell started to ring and everyone was getting on their respective seats.

Henry was so embarrassed, he wanted to die, Komi and Tadano immediately went to comfort him.

Komi: "Honestly, I didn't knew what to do in either games, but it was fun, thanks for inviting me, wolfy."

Henry: "No pro-... wait... wolfy!?"

Tadano: "We wanted to give you a nickname, it was Najimi's idea actually, sincerely, we wanted to refuse, but found that one funny."

1 hour ago:

Najimi: "Hey guys, have you seen how blushy Henry gets when he gets teased?" Komi and Tadano said yes with their heads.

Najimi: "You wanna know what embarrasses him the most?"

Komi and Tadano: "Please, tell us!"

Najimi smirked and whispered them at their ears.

Najimi: "Giving him a cute nickname"

Komi: "That's it?"

Back to the present:

Henry was about to kill Najimi, but in reality, he liked getting called like that by Komi and Tadano (not because he loves them romantically, but because he find it funny).

Henry: "Well... ok? Please, don't... call me that on public..." Henry was blowing steam super hard.

Komi: "O...Ok... w...w-wolfy."
