Communication 12: P.E. Fitness test

Narrator's POV:

June 1st

When a person has extreme social anxiety, they struggle to communicate with others. Bear in mind that they only struggle, that doesn't mean that they don't want to make long lasting bonds or friendships.

Najimi's case: 

Najimi: "Oh, Komi!"

They started staring at eachother. There was an awkward silence.

Najimi: "Wow, love it!"

Yamai's case: 

Yamai: "Good morning, Komi!"

Again, there was an awkward silence between these two, but because Yamai was having a stroke and salivating...

Agari's case was weird too, she started squishing her arms and didn't articulate with Komi.

Henry and Tadano's case

Henry: "Why hello there, Komi!"

Tadano: "Morning, Komi."

Komi started writing on her notebook.

Komi: "Everyone's acting differently today, do I look weird?" She asked her friends.

Since it was the beginning of june, everyone started wearing their summer uniforms. Henry didn't see anything wrong, Tadano, however...

Henry: "Well, I dunno, to me, you look normal..."

Tadano was looking away, but smoke started to come out of his head and hid his face behind his notebook.

Tadano: "No, you look pretty as always." As Komi rode that, she joined Tadano. Henry realized what just happened and started smirking.

At the gym:

Makeru: "Oh! We meet again. It's me, Makeru Yadano. Last time, at the physical fitness exam, me and Komi ended up in a tie, that makes us rival, don't you agree? Today is the P.E. fitness exam, it's on Komi-!" Makeru got elbowed by a random student that went somewhere running.

Everyone was now paying attention to Komi, Tadano and Henry, but most specifically at Komi, since she was wearing now the gym uniform and her friends were guiding her out and helping her make a ponytail. Makeru hates losing. Henry and Tadano noticed once again how she was glaring daggers at Komi.

This physical exam is of 7 rounds: Grip strength, sit and reach, side step pm, situps pm, long jump, hand throw and 50 m run (pm means per minute)

This were the results of the six first rounds: Komi/Makeru/Henry/Tadano

Grip strength: 24kg/18kg/36kg/22.5kg (comment: "Piece o' cake!")

Sit and reach: 52cm/45cm/46cm/45.5cm (comment: 'No fair... Komi's way to flexible!')

Side step pm: 48/42/48/44  (comment: 'Henry and I tied! Yay :D')

Situps pm: 66/63/70/68 (comment: 'Komiiii!!!') 

Long jump: 203cm/153cm/212cm/200cm (Comment: 'Damn it! I fell and got a worse score...)

Handball throw: 26m/1m/40m/24m

Yadano was frustrated, she lost at everything, not only against Komi, but Henry and Tadano too.

Henry: "Makeru, you okay?"

Makeru: "I'M FRUSTRATED!"

It was time for the last test, the 50m run. Makeru didn't want to end with a 7-0 against Komi, so she was going to give it her all.

Henry: "On your marks..."

Makeru and Komi were extra focused.

Henry: "Get set..."

Henry: "GO!" 💥  🔫

Makeru and Komi started sprinting. Najimi was holding the cronometer and both they and Henry were thinking the same thing: 'They're quick!'

Makeru was extra confident of her speed, since her legs had never let her down, however, Komi started speeding up, and caught up to her.

Makeru: '...beautiful...'

Henry and Tadano did their turn together, surprisingly, Henry broke the record of the school with 4.5 seconds exactly, as for Tadano, he got an average score.

Najimi: "Damn Henry! You broke the school's record!"

Henry: "Wait, for real?"

Makeru: "Komi... Watching you run made me realize that I still have a long path to walk... same goes for you, Tadano, Myers... I admit my defeat. Thanks for the challenge." She said with a smile and extending her hand.

Nobody understood what was going on. Komi wanted to shake her hand but she immediately removed it.

Makeru: "I see, you won't shake my hand... ah, right, it's a sign that I've given up... alright guys! I won't lose next time!"

Komi, Tadano and Henry made a new rival. 6 toast, 95 to roast.
