Kurt and I carpooled to Scotty's diner where we had dinner. Sally was busy attending to the hungry crowd, we barely talked. Kissing her goodbye, we head off to my house.
A block away from my house, I pushed on the breaks, Kurt's car also stopped. He hurriedly got out of his car and was tapping the driver's seat window. I lowered it down.
"Is this your stop?" he inquired with a mock confusion in his face. Pointing across the direction where I stopped. His other hand rubbed the back of his head to add to the effect.
'He's sure as hell looks funny!' I thought to myself. I smiled at him as I looked towards where he was pointing at and giggled. "Yes, this is my stop. I live at the cemetery and is actually a zombie," I laughed.
"For real?" his brows furrowed, " like that would be awesome! Dating a zombie is part of my "things to do in my lifetime."
I smacked his face,"You really are crazy Kurt!" he's so fun to be around with, "well, my mom will go berserk if she saw me in a carpool especially with a guy. She might think that the end of the world is imminent. I know you know that I dont really have friends right?" I intend for it to come off humorous but instead my tone was serious. Part of the reason why I stopped was the possibility of him seeing Charice at our house which would surely set her off. Only Francois and Alain knew that we were sisters, Charice preferred it that way for obvious reasons.
He looked at me with loving eyes, "You shouldn't put down yourself like that. You are an amazing person and anyone will be honored to be considered your friend," he reached in my car and tilted my chin catching my gaze in his. "I am your friend, and you know that I will love to mean more to you than that but I am willing to wait. I really love you Lissey. Always remember that," he peck me on the cheeks and waved goodbye as he got into his car and drove off.
A smile made its way again on my face. 'Oh Kurt, I think you will not have to wait for long," I whispered as I felt drumrolls in my chest.
