It's a cloudy day, yet somehow the sun is still managing to still peak through. The crickets are chirping within the bushes and the birds are rustling in their trees. The team needed to land, whether to catch a break from eachother or for some unknown reason that Allura and Shiro decided not to share with the others. Either way, Lance needed to get out of the castle, out of his head, and back out into nature.

He grew up on a farm, although he hates to admit it, with animals and family all around him. But, ever since he and his friends formed Voltron, he's been trapped inside listening to Hunk complain about the food and Pidge talk about things he isn't smart enough to understand. He needed a break, and he went for his opportunity.

As soon as they landed, he went off exploring.  You would expect, for it being an unexplored planet and all, someone would have stopped him, but Lance going for a wonder was probably the least of their worries: that was what he told himself anyway.

Back at the ship, Keith was spending this quality time with Shiro in the bridge, acting interested in the statistics but really just wanting to get involved in some action. He was leaning against a pillar, nodding occasionally as Shiro explained things Keith didn't care to hear. Usually he would be first in line to receive any information he could, but boredom had shown the worst in him. He was given two options: help Shiro with 'important mission stuff', quoted by Pidge herself, or help Pidge with 'fun' analytical work, whatever that means. Boring.

Before Lance left, he begged Keith to come with him, calling him 'lazy' and 'stale', thinking those would encourage the poor boy to agree to being dragged into who-knows-what. Keith, however, didn't even get to utter in a word before Lance's insults and ecstatic escape to the front gate. Keith didn't complain. He couldn't complain. Trying to disagree with Lance is like talking to a stale piece of corn that is slowly making a break for the edge of the counter.

After a few long hours go by of Shiro explaining, Keith occasionally making un-obligated comments in an act to bond with his most tolerable friend, and Pidge glancing over every now and then from her station to give Keith 'should've helped me instead' looks, Lance bursts into the Bridge, both sweaty and with his lungs begging for mercy.

"Okay okay, you guys are not going to believe me but I just found something actually fun for us to do. I am not taking no for an answer you guys have to see this." Lance blurts out, not giving himself a second to breathe and using hand motions to encourage his interest. After a few seconds of no response, other than an uncoordinated side glance from Keith, he walks further into the room.

"C'mon guys, surely whatever you're doing now can't be any better."

"Lance, it's called working, something you are yet to learn." Shiro remarks, not looking away from the panel.

"Boringgg..." Lance looks to his left to see Pidge, too absorbed in her work to bother. He then turns back ahead of him, seeing Keith leaning with his arms behind his back, staring back at him with blank, thoughtless eyes.

"Keith..?"

"No."

"C'mon Keith"

"No Lance."

"Pleaseeee Keithy"- Lance strains his voice, yet Keith is quick to seize it.

"Can it! Can't you see I'm busy?" Keith says a bit too eagerly. Lance could tell he is contributing in no way whatsoever - if anything, the only thing Keith is busy with is helping to distract the other two from their work.

"Busy doing what?" Lance bounces on his heels, putting his hands behind his back, smiling and putting a little flick with his voice in between each word. Keith rolls his eyes and glances over at Shiro, hoping he would make up an excuse that would excuse him from any heinous activity Lance had concocted. However, Shiro so happened to offer the opposite.
