(Pacifica's POV)
I can't believe my eyes! For three big reasons.
One- Gideon escaped prison!
Two- Gideon is trying to kill Dipper!
Three- Dipper is sword fighting!
Dipper is really good from my perspective. I wonder where he learned to sword fight like that? Gideon is also skilled with a sword. He's keeping Dipper on his feet. Gideon is on the offensive attacking Dipper with powerful strikes. His attacks are in an unpredictable pattern.
(Dipper's POV)
Gideon is really keeping me on my toes. He really does hate me. I can see the anger and hate in his eyes.
When we started the battle, he did a long backflip as a fulcrum for a vicious overhand. He has been unloading flurries of attacks on me, rapidly gaining ground.
Gideon is still attacking me with a lot of power. Man, prison must have done a big number on him.
I see that Gideon is trying to corner me against the wall. I wait until I'm almost at the wall; then I rally him and I work my way around him away from the wall. But Gideon is easily holding of my attacks. He then kicks me soundly in the chest.
Man, his kick hurt! He must have been training a lot at prison. That would explain the sword skills. I knew that knowing how to wield a sword professionally would come in handy. I guess I was right. But, it seems that I didn't train hard enough. It looks like Gideon has me out skilled. Well, if I can' take him down with just skills, I will need to use my mind, I need a plan to take him out. I got it! I give Gideon a little smirk. He gives me a confused look.
A/N: Here's Chapter 18 everyone. The fight between Gideon vs. Dipper will take place over a span of a few chapters.
