Falling for Trouble

Chapter 1

Aidan's POV:

Not to brag, but I've never really got into trouble, and I'm pretty rich and famous. Not many people can say they don't know the name 'Aidan Gallagher' afterall. I started my journey into fame through the TV show Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn, and now, at twenty-one years old, I've made it in the entertainment industry.

This story, actually really isn't about me though. It's about a girl, who was nothing but trouble, and yet, a girl I was lucky enough to call my own. A girl named Diana.

It all started when my dad told me Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn's cast would have a reunion special, so of course, I wanted to join. It had been almost seven years since I last saw my friends Casey, Mace, and Lizzy. And now, finally, I was going to see them again.

I walked off the plane at LAX with my mum and dad, wearing a pink dog-pattern hoodie, a pair of comfy jeans, sunglasses, a baseball cap, and cushy hiking sneakers. The airport was crowded and loud, but luckily, not too many people recognized me, or my parents. It was already dark out, even though it wasn't too long of a flight from Seattle.

I looked around for anyone I'd recognize, but the first person my eyes landed on, was a young man sitting on a bench, wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses, looking very bored. His face lit up when he saw me though.

"Aidan!" He yelled, standing up and looking in my direction. I did a quick double-take, then I recognized him.

"Mace!" I yelled, bounding toward him. We engulfed each other in a hug, laughing and smiling.

That's when I first met Diana.

"You're short."

It was the first thing she ever said to me. I was still hugging Mace when she spoke, and we pulled away to see her standing there, having seemingly appeared out of nowhere. She wasn't very tall, yet taller than me, about 5'6", with short curly brown hair and big brown eyes under her glasses. She was staring at us with an amused expression on her face.

"Right, Aidan, this is Diana." Mace introduced, motioning to her. "She's my cousin."

"Hi, I'm Aidan." I said, reaching out my hand for a handshake, half expecting her to start fangirling over me.

"Dude. Hat. Lose it." She replied blankly, crossing her arms. I insecurely touched the baseball cap I was wearing.

Mace facepalmed. "Diana!" He scolded. She just shrugged. "Sorry about her." He turned to me, pursing his lips. "The hat looks fine." He reassured me as Diana muttered "No it doesn't." In the background.

Our parents walked up to us and greeted each other, then the seven of us started for the taxis. Mace and I chatted the entire ride to the hotel, out parents sat in an awkward silence, and Diana sat in the back of the taxi, staring out the window, occasionally scratching at the band-aid on her chin, a soft smile on her face.

When we arrived, we met up with Casey and Lizzy and their families, all of us sharing hugs and laughs, catching up while our parents checked us in. The entire cast of the reunion would be staying in this hotel, our families included. To make things even better, we all shared a floor, so our rooms were ordered Lizzy's, Mace's, Casey's, then mine.

My room was beautiful. The carpet was brown and green with a leaf-like pattern, and the wallpaper was a pale rusted-gold colour. A dark green couch sat in the far corner, next to a large window with a beautiful view of the next-door park. It was a suite, so past a pair of wooden doors was the bedroom and bathroom, appropriately decorated for the woodland like theme.

First thing I did when I entered my room was flop down on the couch, stretching out due to being tired from the flight. My parents laughed and put their bags down, starting to unpack. We would be here for a month or two while filming the reunion, and I was excited to be back. I grew up on the Paramount lot, so it was nice to be back.
