Aidan's POV

Only on rare occasions do I actually feel like I want to kill someone. But when I woke up to all my friends laughing because I was buried in the sand and dressed like a mermaid, I really wanted to kill whoever did this to me. And I had a pretty good idea of who it was.

Mace had warned us, Don't fall asleep around Diana, but sadly, I hadn't slept well last night, so I did indeed end up falling asleep. And it would appear, Diana took advantage.

"What the-?" I tried getting up, but could barely move, being that I was buried from my waist below. I was able to pry off the ridiculous seashell bra and the seaweed out of my hair though. I grimaced and felt my face heat up, looking around at my friends, then at Diana.

Strangely enough, she wasn't looking at me, but she was smiling. I knew it was her.

By the time I had finally unburied myself with the help of the others, the sun was already going down, so it was time to leave and go back to the hotel. I was still covered in sand, so I didn't change out of my swimshorts and just wore a towel over my shoulders, deciding to wait to change until after I've had a shower.

However, when the shower over and I finished eating dinner in the room with my parents, I got a text from Casey telling me to go downstairs to the lobby. Not thinking too much of it, I put on my sneakers, grabbed me room key and walked downstairs, only to get the biggest surprise of my life.

In the lobby was Casey, and Jessica Belkin.

"J-Jessica..." I said, taking a step back, pure shock written on my face.

For those in the audience who don't know, Jessica Belkin played a character in Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, & Dawn, and in real life, we used to date. I was sure I had gotten over her, but for some reason, seeing her again made my heart drop and my cheeks turn pale and cold.

"Hey Aidan." She gave me a small wave, awkwardly pursing her pink lips together.

Casey seemed to notice the tension, so he backed away, slipping off, which I silently cursed him for. I would've really really liked an exit from........ this.

"So, you're here for the reunion too?" I finally was able to say, my brain still on overdrive. I felt I was going to be sick.

"Yeah." She said, nodding her head and giving him a smile. "Super excited!" She added genuinely, tossing a small strand of her long wavy blonde hair behind her shoulder.

I nodded, scratching at the back of my neck. Dang, could this be any more awkward?

"So, how're you?" She asked after a few more awkward moments. "You dating anyone?"

Her question caught me off guard. I wanted to tell the truth, I swear, buUuUt, I also wanted to make her jealous. Not because I still liked her, but because I wanted to know if she still liked me.

"Yes." I lied, nodding my head.

"Who?" She asked, a curious smile on her face.

Shoot, hadn't thought that far.

"Uhhhhhh," I looked around, only to see (perfect timing) Diana walking toward the coffee makers in the lobby. "Her." I pointed to Diana.

"Introduce me!" Jessica beamed excitedly. Great.

I walked with Jessica over to Diana, who looked over at us with a bored expression, taking a sip of her coffee. "Yo." She said boredly.

"Hey, Diana, this is Jessica, my ex-girlfriend." I introduced them. Diana looked Jessica up and down.
