The scene opens to Pyrrha gearing up in the locker room. As she walks out of the locker room, we cut to her sparring with Cardin Winchester and back again. Eventually, the fight scene includes the other members of Team CRDL.

While she is still exiting toward the arena, the scene cuts to her spar with Team CRDL.

Glynda approaches from behind Cardin who clutches his ribs.

Glynda: "And that's the match."

Cardin: "Lucky shot."

Cardin collapses.

Glynda: "Well done, Miss Nikos. You should have no problem qualifying for the tournament."

Pyrrha: "Thank you, professor."

Glynda: Tapping her Scroll. "Alright, now I know that's a tough act to follow, but we have time for one more sparring match." Glynda looks around at the observing students. "Any volunteers? Ms. Belladonna?" Blake slams her book shut and stares wide-eyed at Glynda. "You've been rather docile for the past few classes. Why don't you -"

Mercury raises his hand.

Mercury: "I'll do it."

Glynda: "Mercury, is it? Very well, let's find you an opponent."

Mercury: "Actually, I wanna fight... him." He points at F/n as Emerald facepalms.

Emerald: "So much for laying low... but why hasn't he said anything to Ozpin?"

F/n: "With pleasure." He gets up from his seat.

Glynda: "Well you can fight him but i advices you to choose another partner as mr. F/n is right at the top of the class."

F/n: "No, he wants a fight then he'll get one."

Author: I just want to clarify so you know.
F/n knows Mercury and Emerald are criminals but he doesn't know they're working for Cinder.

Mercury struts into the arena as he visibly sizes up F/n. Their spar begins when he makes the first attack by kicking F/n but is knocked down by F/n using his scabbard. Mercury recovers quickly, F/n swings his scabbard at Mercury who deflects each hits but is put back n the back foot.

Ruby turns toward Emerald whom is keeping her head down sitting behind her.

Ruby: "Hey, your friend's doing alright."

Emerald only gives her a fake smile and then rolls her eyes as Ruby turns her back.

Mercury tries to unleashes a series of powerful kicks but F/n dodges most of his kicks and deflect the rest with his katana, Mercury is able to kick F/n's arm with enough force causing F/n's arm to swing back and Mercury tries to take advantage by attempting to Slam he's leg into F/n's side but his leg swings where F/n was. Mercury becomes confused but he is too late to realise F/n was behind him and he unleash his owe Slashes at Mercury which takes his aura down, F/n then sheaths his katana, and thrust his scabbard into Mercury stomach which sends him flying back. Mercury gets up and stares F/n down as he dash's to Mercury.

Mercury: Non-chalant but a bit dazed. "I forfeit."

F/n stops right in front of Mercury with his katana inches away from his face.
