Imogen sat in the great hall, ignoring all conversations around her, the rest of her food remained untouched. The girl felt the mood change as someone sat next to her. Sirius had his usual grin and was completely oblivious to her mood. "Morning Immy, how was detention?" Sirius questioned. "You looked like you've had fun," he sarcastically added.

Imogen shot her head to the side in anger, "My parents found out about the bloody detention you absolute toad!" She snapped, resisting the temptation to smack him ❨ which seemed very appealing in that moment.

The girl watched as his grin faded into a genuinely sorry expression. Sirius rubbed his neck awkwardly before speaking again, "Ah, we didn't mean to get you in trouble—or think that far. Sorry about that, me and James will make it up to you after class on Monday, I promise."

Before Imogen could open her mouth to speak again, a few other Gryffindors joined them on the thanks, distracting the two with talk of Quidditch ❨ as there was a game later in the afternoon. ❩ Imogen tried her best to keep positive, and put her parents and their letter behind her, though still she could only force a smile and keep quiet, letters from her parents always ruined her day.

The rest of the day went on as normal, Imogen kept quiet, and Sirius picked up on it. The girl went to his Quidditch game, and he appreciated it. Deep down, Sirius was really regretting leaving Imogen with the blame on Friday, he had a family like hers, and he was lucky enough to be living with James, Imogen wasn't lucky enough for that.
