• Sirius, James and their prank
© -gutspilled, 2024It had been over a month since Imogen last received a letter from her parents, since then, her anxiety about the situation had died down, and she began focusing on the upcoming exams. The afternoon sun streams through the tall windows, it casts a golden glow across the desks. Imogen stared out the window, patiently waiting for the class to end and for the weekend to begin. The astronomy classroom was tucked away near the bottom of the astronomy tower, it was a small classroom, so they never combined houses for the class. The teacher, Professor Aguis, yapped on, no one was listening due to the intense excitement for the weekend.
Imogen sat in the second row, right behind a fellow Gryffindor girl, Juju. Juju was trying to focus on her work, though the loud snickering and chatter from behind Imogen made that very difficult for her, the calculations were complicated in Arithmancy. Imogen had given up ages ago. Arithmancy on a Friday afternoon? Biggest torture ever. Instead, she pushed a blonde piece of hair behind her hair ear and scribbled on the parchment paper ❨ pretending she was doing work. ❩
Imogen also tried her best to ignore the quiet giggling from behind her, of course she knew it was James and Sirius. Professor Aguis had split the two boys up only moments ago, though still Sirius found himself still sitting next to James. Imogen didn't even have the need to turn around and see the boys to know they were up to no good. They had been whispering and laughing for over 10 minutes. Imogen was so focused on her random scribbles to pay much attention to the two boys or even the teacher—that was until she heard a crack from right behind her.
Suddenly another crack noise echoed through the classroom, though talkative Professor Aguis was still rambling on about random nonsense. Suddenly there was yet another crack noise. Following the third crack was a smoke that came from Juju's desk, the smoke was vibrantly coloured. Juju, who had almost perfect slicked-back hair, let out a high-pitched shriek as the colourful smoke stained both her hair and her robes.
The class erupted into laughter while poor Juju couldn't stop screaming—the colourful dust wasn't coming out! Professor Aguis stared at the scene in front of her in shock, unknowing what to do or say. Imogen turned around to view Sirius and James, they could not hold in their laughter—out of everyone theirs was the loudest ❨ of course it was ❩ The boy's faces were read, and they tried not to completely lose it.
