One day, in a spar with Aizawa, Bakugo had a fight with Aizawa for suddenly holding back on his. This, of course, was because the man was sick. But at the time, Bakugo had not known anything about it until he spotted Aizawa taking a visit to Fukidashi at the end of the day.

"Sorry for coming on short notice."

"Don't be like that, it's my job to treat people, afterall. Take a seat, Eraser."

This, in turn, made Bakugo even more angry than he initially was. But this time, not only at Aizawa for not telling him earlier, but at himself for not even considering it.

He has always prided himself for being someone who worried less about others and focused more on himself. But this wasn't always the case. There were moments where things and ideas just don't leave the comfort of his head, and it leaves him anxious.

In times like these, he always found moments to settle down. A lot of the time, it's through fighting. Often times, it's through getting himself busy with other work. And sometimes, when none of those are an option in that moment(like this one), he takes a stroll.

Though, of course, this was almost never enough. On his way, he attempted to crush surrounding litter with his foot until they turn to dust, or kick remaining rubble multiple times until they blast some place far.

He finds this all very stupid, of course. Pathetic, in a way, and mostly only ever gets him more riled up than he was.

But considering that it was night, and that he did not want to attract any sort of attention on himself, he proceeds to wonder quietly.

The short journey inevitably brought him to a park. A deserted park, anyway. Where in one corner, he sees a small source of light for someone who seems to be sitting on a bench.

On guard as he was, he slowly eased up when he realizes that it was only Kodai.

He hesitantly walked to her, because they were never close, but for some reason felt the need to ask in his guarded tone, "What are you doing here?"

Looking up in shock, Kodai didn't answe. She almost never does. And thinking more about it, Bakugo probably has never heard her speak before. Which mean they've never, in their almost two years of acquaintance, had a decent conversation.

She seemed to have been reading something. Or more like was, until Bakugo intervened.

He repeated, "What are you doing here?"

He saw she was gripping in her arms a worn out notebook.

"I, um..."

Bakugo became guarded, thinking of the possibility of her being a traitor, and this time, demanded, "I said what the hell is that?"

"It's just- um."

"You're not a spy, are you?"

Kodai panicked, No! I- I would never! I was- I was just reading!"

"Reading?" Bakugo raised his voice, "Here? Away from everyone else? In the dark? Alone? Uh-huh, right. You're hella suspicious."

"I swear I'm not lying! Hey, wait!"

Bakugo grabbed the notebook in one swoop and reads it fast.

Huh?

"I have never understood why my friends were ever friends with me. It is a question I ask myself ocassionally."

A... diary?

Kodai grabbed the notebook from him. When he glared at her, he saw in her eyes, tears that were in the verge of falling.
