Chapter 5 ~Encounter With the Unknown/In Each of Our Hearts~

This morning, I got up an hour early and got ready, sipping on a huge 24-ounce cup of coffee and dragging myself around my apartment, procrastinating getting dressed. Eventually, I finished and walked to the U.A. I should invest in a car if I want to be this lazy. It was just a bit after 7:20 when I arrived. I walked to the parking lot where the bus was and was drinking my coffee in my giant Thermos cup. I saw all the students talking, well most, and Aizawa sleeping with his back on the tire. As I got closer, some of the class looked at me. This week I've only got to meet with Shoto and Hagakure who told me her past of being bullied for being invisible and had many people tell her that she was so ugly that her quirk had to make her invisible so the rest of society wouldn't have to suffer. Hagakure waved at me, and I smiled in her direction and walked over to Aizawa, and lightly kicked his shoe. He groaned, "What?" I rolled my eyes at his attitude. "I just want to say good luck supervising these kids alone" I laughed and poured some of my coffee into his cup and he just gave me a nod and drank it. "I've been meaning to ask, how did you know I like black coffee?" He asked me, which made me confused. "I didn't, just figured you didn't like to complain about something so basic. And I love black coffee and I made a lot, so I thought I would share some." He nodded his head once again and took another sip of the coffee, and then some students began to get on the bus, as it was 7:27.

"Sure you don't want to tag along? Must be boring in your office." He asked me as he got up and finished the coffee. I smiled and replied, "I'm sure, I'm still trying to plan my schedule for the next few weeks, so I can meet with everyone at least once before the sports festival." He seemed to understand and told the rest of the students to get on the bus. I said my goodbyes and good luck to them and even though it's been 5 days, some of these students fail to recognize me and forget I'm their therapist. I then went to my office and began to do some work. At 8:05 I was able to complete my work and got some more coffee before getting a terrifying alert from Iida saying the USJ was under attack. At that moment, all I could think about was Shoto and Aizawa. I rushed my way out of the room and began to run to the USJ, which would take about 10 minutes at my speed. Iida went to inform Nezu and only told me first because I was the second-closest Pro after All Might. By the time I got there with the pro heroes, we ran inside. All I could see was All Might fighting this ugly mutant-like lizard. I saw Midoriya's face near an ashy hand from a portal, and he looked scared. Toshinori was beaten up heavily but was trying to fight. I jumped down and ran over to them, but I knew I wouldn't make it in time, and then Sniped shot the hand. Snipe started shooting more villains and I kept rushing to All Might. The villains began to fight the heroes and on my way to All Might, Snipe started to shoot the same guy multiple times in a roll and Thirteen who was injured used their quirk to try and drag the hand villain and one who can make portals towards them, but they got away. I got to All Might and Midoriya, gasping in shock, seeing All Might looking sickly. Kirishima, a redhead, started to run over our way and Cementos made a wall blocking us. As All Might fell to the ground, I made my way to him and hugged him, and he and Cementos talked about getting him and Midoriya to recovery girl.

"Stay still, both of you" I closed my eyes and put a hand on All Might and the other on Midoriya, using a small amount of fire and mixing it with some ice that thankfully went unnoticed by the two. After a few minutes, they were mostly healed. "I did all I could for now, I need to make sure no one else needs help," I told them as I got up. "Thank you, Akira. We owe you one," Toshinori spoke as he got up, and I grabbed Midoriya while Cementos helped us sneak out of there and to the recovery girl's office, where we fixed their wounds. There, Toshinori told me about his secret and about transferring his quirk to Midoriya which made some sense to me. "Was anyone else hurt?" I asked them after my mind cleared up after finding out Toshinori's secret. Midoriya looked down with sadness and guilt. "Mr. Aizawa got hurt badly fighting the Nomu." My eyes widened and I stood up. "I should go see what I can do for him." I left without hearing their response, rushed out of the school, and ran into the class and the detectives. They were talking about Aizawa and said he was at the closest hospital in crucial condition. I was going to rush to the hospital, but they told everyone to go back to class and since they would normally be with Aizawa at this time, I decided to go with them to make sure they behaved and to be there for them after this traumatizing event.

When we got back to the class everyone seemed to be doing alright except Tsu Kaminari, and Iida who all seemed shaken up. I asked Momo to watch over the class and invited the 3 into my office. It was only 10 am, so we had a few hours until they could leave, and I wanted to speak to all of them about this incident. I walked over to the front of my desk and sat down, while they all sat on the medium couch I had. There was about a 3-foot gap between each of them. " I noticed how uneasy and shaken up you three are. I wanted to see if there's anything you want to talk about after what just happened, it will just be between us, or we can meet alone of course." I softly told them with a smile. Right off the bat, Kaminari started to burst into tears. "I was useless out there. I use my quirk one time and I go straight into dumbo mode." He tried to speak clearly, but I knew he couldn't. I hugged him, which made him cry more, but he clung to me. I sat in between him and Tsu, trying to comfort him. "I thought we were going to die, we're just teenagers, not pros" My heart just broke for him, and then I saw Iida wiping his tears and Tsu hugged me tightly. I took an arm away from Kaminari, put it around Tsu, and gestured for Iida to join the hug. After a few minutes, they calmed down and Kaminari fell asleep with his head on my now-wet shoulder. I talked some more with Tsu and Iida about their personal lives, stress, and trauma and they both told me they have a brother, but Tsu's the oldest while Iida is the youngest. When it was time for lunch, I dismissed the whole class and Kaminari wanted to stay in my office to sleep, so I let him while I was at Aizawa's desk finishing grading papers I knew he couldn't finish.

At the end of the school day, I made sure all the students got picked up and weren't pressed by the paparazzi into answering questions about the event. After that, I went to Nezu's office and gave him an envelope with what to put in for my background check, with names and numbers of the people who could confirm or deny what I wrote. I then left to go home since I knew I wouldn't be able to visit Aizawa since I was not a close friend or family member. When I got home, I sat on the couch drinking the leftover coffee from the morning, and watched whatever was playing when I first turned on the TV.
