"Pancakes, anyone?" Wanda called out across the bustling kitchen, a playful smile lighting up her face as she flipped another fluffy pancake onto a towering stack.

As the Scarlet Witch took it upon herself to ensure the newly assembled Avengers were well-fed and cared for, the kitchen filled with the mouthwatering aroma of breakfast. Soon, the room was alive with chatter and laughter as new faces filtered in, drawn by the promise of a feast.

At one side of the unusually large dining table, Bucky, Sam, Clint, and Natasha sat, nursing their coffees and casting amused yet mildly exasperated glances at their younger companions. Across the table, Kate Bishop was deep in animated conversation with Peter Parker, both of them enthusiastically shoveling plate after plate of food into their mouths.

"Okay, but she was totally flirting with me, and I have no idea what to do!" Peter exclaimed, laughter bubbling up as he took an impressively gigantic bite of pancake.

"Go for it, dude! Just ask her out!" Kate urged, eyes sparkling with mischief.

"I'm not even sure if I'm her type, though," Peter admitted, his cheeks turning a delightful shade of crimson.

"Having types isn't a thing," Kate said, rolling her eyes like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Yes, it is!" Yelena and Natasha chimed in unison, the sisters exchanging synchronized glares that could only be described as 'intense sibling rivalry.'

"Oh really?" Kate pressed, raising an eyebrow at Yelena, who was sipping her coffee with a mischievous grin.

"C'mon, Lena. What's your type?" Kate challenged, her curiosity piqued.

"Oh, I don't know," Yelena replied. "Tall, black hair, blue eyes... and dumb."

"That almost sounds like me! Too bad I'm not a guy, huh?" Kate chuckled, a playful glint in her eye.

"Did I mention 'dumb'?" Yelena shot back, a teasing smirk on her face.

"Yeah, you did. Odd thing to find attractive!" Kate laughed, leaning back in her chair, clearly enjoying this banter.

"Oh yes, I know," Yelena sighed dramatically, casting a glance at the older Avengers. The expressions they exchanged were pure comedy; Natasha facepalmed, Bucky stood up to leave before he could smack Kate upside the head, and Sam merely shook his head in amusement.

One Week Later...

"Nock, draw, release!" Clint's voice echoed through the communication devices as Kate and he unleashed a flurry of arrows at the approaching threats. The team worked together like a well-oiled machine, fending off the relentless tide of attackers.

"Go right!" Clint shouted, urgency sharpening his voice as Kate zipped off behind a building, her instincts kicking in.

Reaching the rooftop, Kate spotted Yelena and Natasha, both firing their guns with expert precision, eliminating threats before they could overwhelm them.

Kate knocked her arrows and joined the fight, but she failed to notice the shadow creeping up behind her until it was too late. A sharp pain exploded at the back of her skull, sending her crashing to the ground.

As the world spun around her, she barely registered the gunshot that whizzed past her ear, snapping her back to reality. Through her blurry vision, she saw Yelena with her gun aimed—not at her, but at the threat that had attacked, the blonde taking it out with a single, deft shot.

"KATE!" Yelena screamed, already sprinting toward her, fierce determination in her eyes.

Enemies swarmed around Yelena, but Kate watched, dizzy and dazed, as Yelena gracefully flipped over them, deploying her Widow Bites like the superhero she was. She could barely hold on as she crumpled forward, still trying to shake off the dizziness.

Yelena reached her, kneeling down worriedly checking for injuries. Relief flooded through her when she realized Kate was mostly fine, likely just a concussion.

"I'm fine, Lena! It's not—" Kate attempted to joke, but it came out weak.

"No, it's not, Kate! Why would you leave your back unguarded? Have I taught you nothing?" Yelena exclaimed, shoving Kate lightly on the shoulder, a mix of worry and frustration etched across her face.

"Ugh no you taught me a lot, why are you so angry right now?" Kate asks the blonde, who is currently pinching the bridge of her nose with her thumb and fore-finger.

The stress that radiates off Yelena's body is palpable, but Kate had not realized this fight was that important to the blonde.

"That's what you get for being into ditzy idiots" Natasha cackles, walking back to the edge of the building while reloading her gun.

"Исчезни, Natasha." Yelena snaps, turning back to Kate.

Wait. Ditzy idiot?

"Am I the idiot in this situation?" Kate asked, tilting her head in confusion.

"Obviously," Yelena replied.

"Sorry," Kate said, her voice softer now, "didn't mean to stress you out."

A collective sigh echoed through all their earpieces, but Kate, now back on her feet, was already moving back into position, a determined smile on her face.

Two Weeks Later—In Kate's Room

Kate and Yelena sprawled across the couch, surrounded by a fortress of popcorn and blankets as they indulged in a movie marathon. The cozy atmosphere wrapped around them like a warm hug, and the world outside faded away.

"Oh, wait a second..." Kate whispered, glancing sideways and meeting Yelena's eyes.

Yelena smirked, nudging Kate with her shoulder. "Just realized, huh?"

"Oh my gosh, I'm such an idiot!" Kate groaned, burying her face in her hands. "This is so embarrassing!"

"Well, I did say I found it attractive," Yelena said, winking. "And I'm not fond of lying. But I am very fond of you."

Kate's heart raced as she processed this. With a soft chuckle and a scrunch of her nose, she leaned in closer. "So... how about we go out sometime? You know, like a real date?"

"About time you asked, Bishop," Yelena teased, leaning in to capture Kate's lips in a gentle kiss. The warmth of Yelena's smile melted any lingering nerves, igniting a spark that had been brewing between them for far too long.

As they pulled away, Kate's cheeks flushed a rosy pink. "So, does this mean we're officially a thing?" she asked, her voice laced with playful uncertainty.

"Of course," Yelena replied, her gaze softening. "But just so you know, you're still kind of an idiot."

Kate laughed, nudging Yelena playfully. "Yeah, but I'm your idiot."

Yelena rolled her eyes dramatically. "Just try not to get knocked out again, okay? I'd rather not have a repeat of today."

Kate grinned, snuggling closer as they resumed their movie marathon. "Deal. Now, let's see who can eat more popcorn."

Yelena smirked, raising an eyebrow. "You're on, but I warn you—I have training for this."

With laughter echoing around them, they sank into the comfort of each other, the worries of the world outside fading away momentarily, replaced by the warmth of a blossoming love.
