"You will stay away from him, or I'll make him stay away from you," he said, pulling me tightly into his arms. He rested my head against his neck as I cried in his embrace. His fingers gently caressed my back, trying to soothe me.

I didn't even notice when my eyes closed, overcome by exhaustion.

Third Person POV

Silas lay there taking rain in his arms, holding him tightly while rubbing his back soothingly. His breathing was slow and steady, a soft smile playing on his lips as he inhaled rain's scent, which made him feel at peace.

"You can't even understand what you're doing to me, Moon..." he whispered softly into Rain's ear. His hand slipped into Rain's hair, gently stroking it.

"I don't want to hurt you... so please, be my mate," he whispered again. Rain whimpered in his sleep, shifting slightly to get more comfortable. But Silas tightened his hold around Rain's waist, not letting him move. He kissed his head softly.

"You can't leave me, love... not anymore," Silas murmured, his possessive gaze fixed on Rain. He closed his eyes, taking a long, deep breath, savoring Rain's scent.

Rain's POV

I opened my eyes when a sudden pain in my waist made me let out a painful whimper. I tried to lift my head, but I couldn't—it was still pressed against Silas' neck, his hand holding me firmly in place.

"Leave me..." I said, keeping my tone neutral. Silas slowly loosened his grip, allowing me to move my head.

"Morning, Moon," he said, and I quickly glanced around, noticing the light streaming through the windows.

"P...please," I whispered, fear creeping through me. He sat upright and, as he moved, he pulled me into his lap with sudden force. I placed my hands on his chest, trying to distance myself from him.

In an instant, his face was so close to mine that my eyes widened in shock. A loud whimper escaped my lips.

His hand gripped my waist tightly, pulling me closer.

"Please what, Moon...?" he asked in a husky voice, his lips brushing against mine with every word, his breath mingling with mine. I tried to turn my face away, but his hand grabbed my hair, pulling me closer until our lips touched.

He didn't move his lips—just stared at me with a dead, cold gaze, while mine stared back, full of fear. Our lips were pressed together, and a wave of disgust churned in my stomach.

He stayed like that for more than five minutes, while I struggled to breathe. His scent filled my senses.

Finally, he pulled away, his eyes still locked on mine with that same intense gaze.

"Your clothes..." he said, his eyes never leaving mine as he pointed to the table where my clothes were neatly folded.

"Leave me..." I repeated, my voice weak, tired, and pitiful. He hummed in response but didn't let me go.

His eyes roamed over my face for a few seconds before he placed a soft kiss on my forehead.

"Remember what I said before, Moon—stay away from him," he warned again and finally let me go. I slowly got up from the bed, my eyes never leaving him as I took each cautious step.

He chuckled at my actions.

I grabbed my dress and went into the bathroom. As I leaned against the wall to relax, my eyes caught the mirror's reflection, and to my shock, every wound on my body had healed, as if they had never been there.

How powerful is he? The thought sent shivers down my spine.

I dressed quickly and opened the door. Silas was still sitting on the bed, his eyes scanning me from head to toe.

"You're leaving...?" he asked, and I frowned at his question, looking at him in confusion. He let out a small sigh.

"Meet me at college, Moon," he said.

"Answer me, Moon..." he added sternly when I didn't respond right away. I frowned but then answered with a quiet "okay." The gray door opened, and I turned to look at him again, seeing his hand raised toward the door. A chill ran through me again.

I sat in the same car Silas had brought me in, with the same driver dropping me off without a word. They knew my address without asking. As soon as I stepped inside my house, my legs gave out. The pain that had been absent until now came crashing back all at once, making me cry out. I pressed my hand to my cheek where he had bitten me—the wound had healed, but the stinging burn remained.

A loud sob escaped me as the memory of him crushing my jaw with his fist flashed in my mind.

My body ached with the memory of when he threw me against the benches, and my neck throbbed with the pain from where he had clawed into me.

"If I cause you pain, I'll be the one to heal you..." His words echoed in my mind.

My phone suddenly rang, Hael's name flashing on the screen. I picked it up slowly.

"Where were you?" he asked. I didn't reply right away, clenching my fists as I tried to form the words.

"I'm coming..." I finally said, cutting the call quickly.

I didn't have the strength to even change. Somehow, I got up and walked toward the car.

Each step was careful, as I tried to look normal, even though my body felt like it was on the verge of breaking. I knocked on the door, and it opened to the same familiar gaze. I stepped inside, holding the door for support.

"P...pl...ease... s...st...op... th...this... p...pain," I stammered, tears of shame falling freely. I could've let my wolf heal me, but this time, the injuries were too much to endure—even for my wolf.

He stood up, the click of his boots echoing as he walked toward me. When he was just a foot away, he stopped. His eyes studied my face for a moment, and then, with a wave of his hand, he shut the door with his powers.

He closed the distance between us, bending slightly to look at my face from below. His lips curled into a smirk.

"Beg me with kisses, Moon, and I will heal you."
