One year later...
The sweet aroma of freshly baked goods wafted through Sweet Delights, now a thriving bakery under Lucy and Max Wellington's joint ownership.
Rachel beamed as she worked alongside them, expertly piping icing onto a wedding cake.
"Can't believe it's been a year," Rachel said, shaking her head. "You two have come a long way."
Max chuckled, wrapping his arms around Lucy. "We sure have."
Lucy smiled, her eyes sparkling. "And we've got a lot to celebrate."
Rachel nodded. "Taking down Regina was the icing on the cake."
Lucy's expression turned triumphant. "Max's evidence exposed her shady business dealings, and the authorities took notice."
Max added, "Her embezzlement scheme was just the tip of the iceberg. Once the investigation began, her entire empire started to unravel."
Rachel nodded. "And now she's facing charges, her reputation in tatters."
Lucy smiled sweetly. "Karma's a delicious pastry."
As they shared a laugh, Max's hand drifted to Lucy's stomach.
Rachel's eyes widened. "Oh, is that...?"
Lucy nodded, blushing.
Max grinned, his eyes shining with joy. "We're adding a new recipe to the mix – Baby Wellington, coming soon!"
Lucy laughed, her hands cradling her belly.
Rachel squealed, embracing them both. "I'm going to be an aunt!"
And, of course, Lucy's pregnant. Because, let's be real, it wouldn't be a rom-com cliché if she wasn't.
As they shared a heartfelt moment, the bakery door swung open, filling the room with sunlight and possibility.
And that's truly a wrap, folks. Love, redemption, and a side of buttercream – what more could you ask for?
