A/N: A dangerous wesen threatens Portland
"Oh, come on!" Lorelei shouted at the TV, as Monroe and Bud also yelled out in displeasure as well.
The three of them, plus Nick were at Monroe's house watching the Portland Timbers soccer game on the TV. Nick had seemed a little surprised to find out Lorelei was interested in soccer, but Lorelei had explained that she didn't mind watching sports. Plus, the cousin of someone she knew played for the Portland Timbers. And it was their home team, which made it more interesting.
"He should have passed it." Bud complained.
"He should have made the shot." Monroe told him. "Right Nick?"
They all glanced at where he was sitting in the armchair, clearly not paying attention to the game. "What?" He asked, when he realised, they were all looking at him.
"See, he agrees."
"No, he doesn't, he's even watching the game." Bud argued back.
"I'm watching the game." Nick tried to insist.
Monroe looked sceptical. "Really? Who's playing?"
"The Timbers."
"And..." Lorelei said.
Nick was clearly trying to come up with something, before he rolled his eyes. "I have no idea." He admitted. He sighed and let his head fall back.
"At least Juliette wasn't hurt in the accident." Monroe told him, referring to Juliette's little car crash earlier that day. "I mean, in a way, you got hurt worse than she did. The way she treated you like some kind of pariah."
Bud gave Monroe a look. "Hey, hey, I thought we were supposed to be cheering him up."
"I know, but come on, he has to face it..."
"What?" Nick asked him angrily. "What do I have to face?"
"Nothing you're not ready to." Bud said, trying to deflect.
There was an awkward silence, before Nick spoke up again. "Look, sorry guys. I don't mean to be like this."
Monroe shook his head. "No, it's ok. It's fine."
"Yeah, yeah, we've all been there." Bud paused. "Well, maybe not exactly having been forgotten like you've been forgotten."
Monroe interjected. "Look, we've certainly all been dumped on, for whatever reason." Bud and Lorelei agreed with him. "We don't have to watch the rest of the game if you don't want to."
Bud and Lorelei looked at him in surprise. "Huh?" Lorelei asked. "What? What? What?" Bud added.
Monroe leaned forward. "We go to a bar. He might even meet someone new." Monroe said. Lorelei rolled her eyes. "They'll have the game on there."
Nick did not seem to like that plan. "You know what, guys? I think I'm just going to call it a night." He said, getting up.
"Ok, well, see you in the morning." Monroe told him. As soon as Nick left the room, Monroe sighed. "So, we completely tanked that one."
"He's hurting. There's not much you can do about that." Bud said, as they heard Nick's phone ring. "Just surprised that a Grimm can hurt like that. But, you know, Nick, he's a sensitive Grimm."
At that moment, Nick came walking back out as he answered his phone, heading to the door. "Yeah, just text me the address. I'm on my way."
"You got something?" Lorelei asked.
"Dead body."
"That'll take your mind off her." Monroe called as Nick left. Once the door was closed, Lorelei punched Monroe in the arm. "Ow, what was that for?"
