Chapter two

I woke to a girl lingering above me. The morning light shone through the window.
"Hey, I'm Laura your actual room mate."
"I didn't think I would be living with an early bird" I hesitated.
"Get up I'm taking you some where"
"But it's four in the morning" I argued.
"Do you want a friend or not?"
"I quite like being by myself" I argued.
"Like that's true, get out of bed and just throw on some clothes."
"Fine just give me ten minutes" I sighed.
"Ok, make it quick."

I slowly sat up, my eyes were hard to keep open. I grabbed a towel and walked to the bathroom. The light burned my eyes, I rubbed them open and scraped the crusty sleep out.
The cold water drizzled onto my fingers. The freezing air stung my naked body. I ran my fingers under the water again, this time it was warm. I flipped my hair over and brushed it up into a messy bun with my fingers.

The warm water pelted down my back, while I washed myself.
I had a short shower and changed into my clothes I had left out the night before. I came out of the bathroom wearing grey trackies, a white long sleeve top, a blue jumper that quoted "Never give up", a white beanie and some vans.

Laura was sitting against the door when I came out of the bathroom. She was on the phone.

"We are about to go, you ready yet" Laura asked.
"Yeah she's just going to the toilet, then we're on our way" Lucky answered.
"Okay got to go, and one more favour remember to stick to the plan."

"Ready Mae?"
"Yeah, is what I'm wearing fine" I replied.
"It's great" Laura nodded in approval.
"Ok, let me just grab my phone" I rushed to my handbag and scrambled through it. When I found my phone I rang my brother Mason to tell him where I was going.

The elevator doors opened and we walked inside.
"So when was the last time you had a girls night out" Laura asked.
"Um I don't remember unless you count hanging out with my twin sister" I answered.
"Ok then tonight will be the first to remember in a while, so we better make the best of it" Laura softly laughed.
Instead of pressing ground, in the elevator Laura pressed the top floor button. My fingers started twitching that always happened when I was nervous or scared.

The cold breeze on my face was calming.
"Isn't it just beautiful" Laura exclaimed.
I glanced at the view in front of me, she was right it was beautiful. Lights flashed everywhere making the city look beautiful, but the landscape behind it was even prettier. The mountains in the sunrise light was magnificent.
"Yeah" I gasped out of such beauty.
"How did you find this place?"
"A magician never reveals their secrets" Laura replied.
"Okay then, why did you bring me here if it's a secret?"
"Come on we better go now" Laura ignored me completely.
"Ok"

Laura started walking toward a building, it was grey and small. While we were walking I noticed that there was part of a tattoo sticking out from under her sleeve. I had to find out what was going on with Laura and Lucky. Were they siblings, or were they dating? I had to get it off my mind.
"So is Lucky your brother" I asked
"No no, we just friends. Our parents used to date and we used to hang out a lot, which made us just good friends nothing else" Laura grinned.
"So he's free if you like him" Laura offered.
"I was just asking, because he was in our room yesterday, not because I like him"
"Oh I'm so sorry if you didn't feel comfortable, I'll tell him to stay out" Laura apologised.
"No it's ok, it shouldn't be my business if he is in there or not"

"We're here"Laura smiled.
The door sign read Toilets and the room inside would be only able to squeeze two people.
"it looks wonderful" I answered sarcastically.
"Just come inside"

Laura opened the door and it happened in a flash, it was awesome. There were lights everywhere and it was huge. There was a blue scruffy couch, a white mini fridge full of soft drink, a cupboard full of food, a huge soft rug ,some blankets and decorative pillows.
"I have no words"
"Lucky and I have spent years on this, ever since our parents started dating we went here a lot" Laura exclaimed.
