Finally

I woke up the next day on the couch. 'Huh?' Then the last night came flooding back to me. 'Yesterday, Saturday, was my second date with James, my boyfriend.' I smiled, but kept thinking. 'James got taken by the hunters. Cody knew and he told me. He took me to their fortress, yes that is what I'm calling it. I got captured and Cody got a bloody nose. I got hurt.' I rubbed my ankle and winced. I continued to let it come back to me. 'Cody got me out, saving the day yet again. Kind of like a knight. A KNIGHT! Anyways, he got me and James out. I thanked him. I took James back to my house and cleaned him up. He was asleep. I watched him sleep for a few minutes. I fell asleep. That's it.' "Wait, then where is James?" I whispered to myself. That's when I smelt eggs. 'What?' I thought. I got up and went to the kitchen, well more like limped, but anyways. I saw a tall figure standing there. "Uh," I blurted out without thinking. I heard a laugh and James turned around. He looked better. I smiled. "How are you?" he asked. "I'm alright," I said, forgetting about my ankle and trying to walk to him. I yelped and started to fall but James caught me, picked me up bridal style, and set me on the couch. He frowned,"what did you do?" he scolded. I laughed,"twisted my ankle after I got thrown into a cell, no biggy," I said, waving my hand dismissively. "What! When did this happen! How did I miss it?! Are you ok! Oh my gosh Emily what am I going to do with you?!" he exclaimed throwing his hands in the air dramatically. "Calm down, dad," I said teasingly. He glared at me and wrapped my ankle. When he was done he looked like he was about to slap me, which I knew he wouldn't, but then he smiled mischievously and tickled me. "I-I-I'm s-sorry!" I exclaimed, while laughing and crying, because of laughing too hard, at the same time. "For what," he said, still smiling mischievously. "F-f-for, I-I d-don't k-know, c-can't th-think, o-or b-b-breathe!!!!" I yelled, still laughing and crying. "Fine," he said, and sighed. After my breathing got normal and he grabbed the breakfast he made, we ate. After he took my plate and sat down next to me, he tried to put his arm around me, but I glared at him. "What?" he asked defensively. "You're mean," I said like a little kid and pouted. He laughed, "how can I make it up to you?" he asked brushing a hair off my face. "Ice cream?" I asked hopefully. He laughed and nodded. "Yaaaay!!! But I want to change and stuff first. This will be our make up date." He nodded and kissed my head,"ok, then I'll go to my house," it's two blocks away as he told me,"and I'll call you. If you're ready, I'll come and pick you up," he said. "Sounds good," I said. After he left I went upstairs and took a shower. After I was done I got dressed in some plain jean shorts, a plain black t-shirt, and wrapped my ankle before putting on some black flats. I blow-dryed my hair and brushed it out. I decided to braid it over my shoulder. I decided on no makeup. I looked in the mirror. 'Not to bad,' I thought. While waiting for James to call, I watched Zoey 101. 'I just remembered, my birthday is this coming Saturday, yay!' I thought. I got a call, obviously, from James. "You ready?" he asked. "Psh, I've been ready for 15 minutes," I said. He laughed,"ok then, I'll be right over." "Alrighty, but don't take to long, I REALLY want ice cream," I complained, putting extra emphasis on really. He laughed, "ok, see ya in a couple minutes," he said and hung up. I smiled. 'I. Have. An. Awesome. Boyfriend.' I thought. Ding dong!!!! 'Yay!' I opened the door and there was James, in a grey t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers. His hair was a little wet. 'Wow, I have a really hot boyfriend,' I thought, and smiled. He smiled and asked if I was definitely ready. "Let me grab my wall-"I got cut off. "Heck no, I'm the BOYfriend, I'm paying," he stated. I laughed and kissed his cheek,"then, I'm ready," I said. He grabbed my hand and we went to his truck parked in my driveway. 'I like trucks,' I thought. 'Wow, I get distracted REALLY easily,' I thought. 'Shut up!' James opened the door for me and I got in. After closing the door he went around the front of the car to the drivers side and got in. After about five minutes we were there. I squealed like a little kid and opened the car door before James could get the chance to do it for me. I ran inside DQ, with a laughing James trailing behind me. When he got in I ordered a chocolate extreme blizzard and he ordered a cookie dough blizzard. After we got them I dug in and sighed happily. "Finally," I said, and put a huge spoonful of chocolatey heaven in my mouth. James laughed and wiped some ice cream off my nose and I stuck my tongue out playfully at him. He smiled and said quietly,"yeah, finally," while he stared at me with a soft look in his eyes. I blushed a bit but looked away hoping he wouldn't see. He laughed and grabbed softly under my chin, turning my head to face him,"you're cute when you blush," he said and kissed my lips softly. 'That's it, I'm officially on cloud nine,' I thought, and smiled at him. After my date the rest of the night was just a big huge blur, but the next day, well, that's a different story that you will just have to wait to hear.
