"How can it be that you love the most unlovable part of me, of me?"
An another Coincidence hong seunghan
Sieun's gaze swept the art class, her expression unchanging as she noted her shared seat assignment with Hong Seunghan. Again. Seunghan settled beside her, his reserved nature contrasting sharply with the unease he stirred within.
Their instructor's words faded into the background as Sieun focused on the canvas, deliberately avoiding Seunghan's gaze.
"Aren't you painting?" Seunghan asked, his tone casual, eyes fixed on his work. Sieun's gaze snapped to his, her expression chilly. "I'll get to it," she replied curtly.
Seunghan's lip piercing glinted in the sunlight, his expression unwavering. "Take your time." He refocused on his canvas.
Sieun's brush strokes were bold, her painting contrasting with Seunghan's delicate watercolors. The silence between them was tense. Seunghan painted with precision, his expression neutral, eyes fixed on the canvas.
"You're not very enthusiastic about art, are you?" The words hung in the air, a challenge that demanded a response. Sieun's gaze narrowed, her brush strokes faltering momentarily as she turned to face him. Her eyes sparkled with a hint of annoyance, but her voice remained even, controlled.
"What makes you say that?" Sieun asked, Seunghan's gaze remained fixed on his canvas, his expression unyielding. "Your technique's good, but it lacks passion" he replied, his words cutting through the silence like a knife.
Her eyes flashed with irritation, but her voice stayed steady, refusing to rise to the bait. "Maybe I'm just focused on the assignment" she countered, her strokes deliberate and controlled.
The tension between Sieun and Seunghan had been building for what felt like an eternity, and it finally reached its boiling point. Sieun's brush slipped, smudging the canvas and unleashing a torrent of frustration.
Seunghan's muttered comment, "Careless," was the spark that ignited the fire. Sieun's gaze snapped to his, her eyes blazing with anger and indignation.
"You have no right to criticize me" Sieun hissed, her voice low and deadly. Seunghan's expression remained neutral, but his eyes flashed with annoyance, his tone even but laced with subtle condescension.
"Just stating facts," he replied, his calm demeanor only fueling Sieun's ire. The classroom around them melted away, leaving only the two combatants, locked in a battle of wills.
Their instructor's voice cut through the tension, firm but controlled. "Enough. Outside. Now." Sieun and Seunghan stormed out of the classroom, their anger and frustration trailing behind them like a palpable cloud.
The classroom's tension dissipated slowly, replaced by worried glances and hushed whispers.
"You irritate me so much" Sieun spat, her words dripping with venom as they stood outside the classroom. Seunghan shrugged, his expression nonchalant, his voice laced with indifference. "It's not my fault that you get angry over every little thing."
Sieun's eyes blazed with fury. "You," she began, her voice rising. "Fuck off." The words hung in the air, a stark declaration of her frustration. She turned on her heel, striding down the corridor, her footsteps echoing off the walls.
"The exit is this way," Seunghan chimed in, his voice dripping with amusement, his words only fueling Sieun's ire. She spun around, her eyes flashing with anger, and deliberately turned the other way, her pace quickening.
Seunghan's laughter followed her, a low, mocking sound that sent shivers down her spine. Sieun's hands clenched into fists, her nails biting into her palms. She couldn't shake the feeling that Seunghan was deliberately pushing her buttons.
As she turned a corner, Sieun collided with a group of students, their apologies and concerned glances only adding to her frustration. Seunghan's voice still lingered in her mind, his words echoing like a challenge.
