Hikari stood in the bustling cafeteria, the noise of chattering students and clattering trays buzzing around her.

She absently shifted her tray forward in line, her thoughts circling back to the events that had just happened in class earlier.

Class 1-A had just finished voting for who would become their class representatives.

It wasn't that she cared much about the role; in fact, she'd deliberately avoided it. Being a class rep meant more responsibilities, and she had no desire in leading an entire class. She preferred to stand out and shine through her actions, not by standing at the front of the room, giving orders.

To her surprise, Midoriya had won with three votes— that shy, green-haired boy who always seemed to fumble over his words when he spoke.

Hikari hadn't voted for him, though she could understand why some did.

He had potential—there was no denying his strength after seeing him fight— but watching him nervously approach the front of the class, his whole body shaking as he accepted the position, she couldn't help but feel uncertain about the newly elected rep.

Could he really handle the pressure?

As for her, she had cast her vote for Tenya Iida. Even though she didn't know him well, it was clear to her that he was the kind of person who would be well-fitted for the position.

She remembered the way he disciplined their more impulsive classmates, like Bakugo and Kaminari. Iida was firm but never harsh, correcting their behavior with an authoritative tone.

In a way, his steadfastness reminded her of her brother, Kira. Iida's discipline was like a guiding hand, gently steering them in the right direction.

That's what made him stand out to Hikari. He had a natural ability to lead, not by commanding attention but by earning respect.

She'd assumed others would see it too, but when she glanced at the board tallying the votes, she saw that her vote for Iida stood alone. It was almost amusing, in a way.

"Chicken curry, please," she said absentmindedly as she reached the front of the line. The server ladled a generous portion onto her tray, and she moved on, scanning the crowded cafeteria for a place to sit.

Most of the tables were crowded, filled with groups chatting energetically about the morning's events. She spotted a few familiar faces—Yaoyorozu surrounded by some of the girls, Midoriya talking animatedly with Iida and Uraraka—but she didn't particularly feel like being surrounded by chatter, so she looked for a spot that wasn't too busy.
