It was unusual for Hikari to feel so shaken, but after the events at USJ, she couldn't shake off the lingering sense of unease.
The attack had been sudden, chaotic, and brutal—nothing like the controlled training simulations she was used to.
She had faced real villains, watched her classmates get separated and put in danger, and seen All Might struggle against an opponent that seemed unstoppable. No amount of preparation could have prepared her for that.
Now, back in the familiar surroundings of Class 1-A, she was trying to piece herself back together.
She sat at her desk, quietly packing up her things, her hands moving mechanically as her mind replayed fragments of what happened.
She hadn't realized how tense she was until she felt her fingers tremble slightly, a reminder of how close everything had come to falling apart.
The classroom was unusually subdued, the typical chatter replaced by hushed whispers and muted conversations. Everyone was still processing the fact that they had come face-to-face with villains. Some of them were packing up silently, while others talked in low voices, trying to make sense of it all.
And then, the door to the classroom swung open with a forceful thud, breaking the stillness. All eyes turned to see who had entered, and there was a collective intake of breath when they recognized him.
Kira Mitsumori, a second-year student who had won first place in the UA Sports Festival last year, stood in the doorway.
His usually laid-back and composed expression was replaced with one of intense concern, and his gaze was locked onto Hikari.
"Isn't that Kira Mitsumori?" Someone whispered, their voice barely audible.
"He's here for his sister!" Hikari heard Jiro whisper to Kaminari.
"He won the Sports Festival last year..." Someone else murmured.
The whispers spread through the room like wildfire, but none of them dared to approach. It was clear from the way he strode into the room, his eyes solely focused on his sister, that this wasn't a time for casual conversation.
Even the typically chatty Kaminari and Ashido fell silent, watching the scene unfold with a mix of curiosity and respect.
Hikari's eyes widened as she saw him approaching, her hands freezing mid-pack. She wasn't used to seeing her brother like this—so visibly shaken, so... scared.
Kira had always been the epitome of confidence and cool-headedness, and seeing him now with that expression, made her heart ache. She had no idea how much he cared, or maybe she had just never allowed herself to see it.
