While driving back, Ray realized that things needed to change. He loves his job and wants to continue it but in a more discreet way. Mickey wanted to get out of the business in the beginning. What is important to Ray is to work out a plan for the future—a future where Mickey, Rosalind, and Katie are safe.
He took the route to Mickey's mansion. Katie was way too happy to realize until they reached the driveway. She suddenly looked over at Ray and sensed instantly the change in his emotions. Compared to his immense happiness before, he looked committed and drove a bit faster.
"I need to take care of something, love." Raymond says, sensing that Katie was about to pose the question.
,,Okay"-Katie answered unsurely.
Rosalind was in the foyer when they arrived.
,,Hello Raymond, Katie. Is everything okay?"-she asked surprisedly.
,,Yes, I need to talk to Mickey. Could you keep Katie companied?"-Ray asked, but he was determinded, heading to Mickey's office while speaking.

,,I feel like you came here to discuss the future, Ray. Am I right?"-Mickey asks calmly as Ray enters his office room.
,,Exactly. Look boss, Katie almost died today. I want that to never happen again, now that Cehn is dead! You were going to leave the business anyway."-Ray replies in a rusty voice.
,,Yes, but then Chen came into the picture and we needed to take care of that."-Mickey explains.
,,I know, and I'm glad we did but now that that's over, I want out."-Ray replies.
,,Out? What do you mean out?"-Mickey asks concerned.
,,I don't want to quit, don't get me wrong boss. But I have thought about this, we both need to take a notch back. Think about Rosalind too, she went through even more than Katie did already. Don't you want her to be safe as well?"-Ray asks.
,,Of course, I do-"Mickey starts but Ray interrupts him.
,,It's not just about the money or the power anymore, it's about keeping our families safe!"-he says.
Mickey considers his words.
,,The original plan was to cut back on sales. Distributing a smaller amount to only reliable and long-term clients. I have already prepared a list of these buyers. And the reduced amount would mean you could sell some of the underground operating farms. I did the calculations, selling those parcels would mean a great deal of money."-Ray explains
,,You really did think about this."-Mickey constates.
,,Yes, before Chen appeared. Back then I was just following your directions but now, I do want this boss."-Ray continues.
