Chapter 61: The Confrontation

Just as they were about to leave, footsteps echoed from the staircase. Mina's parents appeared, flanked by two guards.

"Mina," her father said coldly, his face unreadable. "You shouldn't have come back."

Mina's heart raced. "Why? What did you do to me?"

Her mother sighed, stepping forward. "It was for your own good. You were special, Mina. We needed to protect you... and control what you could become."

"Control me?" Mina's voice was rising. "You locked me away! You tracked me like an animal!"

Her father's gaze hardened. "Because you're not normal, Mina. You're stronger, faster, smarter. If people knew what you were capable of—"

"That's not your decision to make!" Mina shouted, her hands trembling with anger.

Ashia stepped forward, standing beside her. "She deserves to live her own life. She's not your experiment."

Mina's mother lowered her gaze, her voice quiet. "We just wanted to keep you safe."

Chapter 62: Breaking Free

Mina looked at her parents, her chest heavy with emotions she couldn't untangle. "Was it love? Was it fear? Or just control?"

She took a deep breath. "I don't care if I'm special. I don't care what you were trying to do. I'm leaving, and I'm never coming back."

Her father opened his mouth to protest, but Ashia stepped in, her eyes blazing. "You're not stopping her."

The guards moved forward, but Nande and Kana stepped up, blocking their path. "Unless you want trouble," Kana said with a grin, "I suggest you back off."

Her father sighed, defeated. "Fine. Go. But don't come crawling back when the world turns on you."

Mina turned to leave, her heart pounding. "I won't. I'm done living in fear."

Chapter 63: Moving Forward

As they left the estate behind, Mina felt an overwhelming sense of freedom wash over her. "I'm not just an experiment. I'm not just their daughter. I'm me."

Ashia smiled at her. "You did it. You're free."

Mina nodded, her heart lighter than it had ever been. "Yeah. I am."

Haru, Kana, and Nande caught up with them, joking and laughing about their daring escape.

Kana nudged Mina playfully. "Looks like you're stuck with us now."

Mina smiled for the first time in what felt like forever. "I wouldn't have it any other way."

Chapter 64: Past Leaved Behind

The group set off into the forest, leaving the mansion and Mina's past behind. As they walked, the world ahead seemed full of possibilities.

"What happens next?" Mina wondered, but for the first time, it wasn't fear holding her back—it was excitement.

The end wasn't clear, but Mina knew one thing for certain: she was finally free to write her own story.

Chapter 65: The Weight of Freedom

Mina sat on the edge of the bed in Ashia's small, cozy home, staring out the window at the town below. "I'm free... so why do I feel so lost?" she thought, her chest tight with conflicting emotions.

The others had gone outside to explore, but Mina stayed behind, her legs aching from the walk they took earlier. She rubbed her calves, remembering how weak her muscles felt during the hike.

"It's embarrassing. I can't even walk for long without feeling like I'm going to collapse." She sighed, her mind wandering back to the comfort of her old room. "I miss the elevator. I miss not having to move."

The door creaked open, and Ashia peeked in. "You okay in here? You didn't want to come with us?"

Mina shook her head. "I'm just... tired. Everything's so different now."

Ashia nodded, her expression soft. "You'll get used to it. It's just going to take time. You've been through a lot."

"Will I? Or will I just keep missing everything I used to have?" Mina didn't say it aloud, but the thought lingered.
