Lance to Keith😡:

Lance: U got a poem yet?

Keith😡: No

Lance: Are you GOING to write one?

Keith😡: Maybe

Lance: So all I get are one word responses? What did I do to deserve this?

Keith😡: You know

Lance: Aha! I got TWO words >:)

What an inspirational poem

I'm practically head over heels for you now.

No
Maybe
You know

Aaah so romantic

Keith😡: Shut up

That's not the poem. I haven't even started yet.

Lance: Well I did

Keith😡: You want an Oscar with that?

Lance: Ha ha very funny

Now I'm gonna stop annoying you so you can write

Or whatever

Keith😡: Never thought I'd hear those words before

Lance: JUST WRITE

Can't wait to see your thoughts ;)

Keith😡: I'm regretting it already

But I'll do it

For the money

Lance: Obviously

Keith, to say the least, had zero clue what to write about Lance. Well he did, actually. But it was about how he was insanely annoying, and how obnoxiously flirty he was with everybody, and how he tried to charm everyone with finger guns and winks, winking his prussian eyes, and how they shine in the sun, how Lance is the sun. As annoying as he is, he always filled the room with laughter and happiness. Now that Keith thinks about it, he's smiled at least once every day when Lance was around. Sure, they bicker and fight, that's their thing. Their thing. His mind wandered farther into Lance's features, his freckles, dimples, everything about him. His heart started to beat at a concerning pace.

Oh no

Keith couldn't actually feel like that about Lance. No way at all. Lance hated him and Keith hated him too (ignoring all of his previous statements). It would never work out anyways.  Why had all these feelings just come rushing in like a train? They came with absolutely no warning, like having to fight the world's strongest enemy who you never trained for. But, if he could get anything out of this, he at least knew what to write for his poem.

He was able to finish it. After nearly passing out at the rate of his pounding heart. He wanted to ignore it, more than anything but the more he tried, the more he thought about Lance.

Stupid stupid Lance.

A few days later

Keith to Lance:

Keith: I finished the poem.

Lance: For realsies??

Keith: Yes

Lance: Send it

Keith: What's the magic word?

Lance: Keith, we're adults.

Keith: That's not the magic word.

Lance: Ugh FINE

Please

Keith: Thank you

Also...

Please don't make fun of it. It's only because I had to. And I had to think hard to get this stupid information so, you're welcome.

Lance: I won't make fun of it! Promise. That would be like making fun of myself

Keith: Here goes my pride.

For the money.

[Keith sent a link]

Keith had just sent the link to Lance. But why was he so nervous to open it? Keith seemed really weird about it, even over text. Maybe he was just worried about how Lance would react. And that honestly made sense. Lance had always been a pretty big jerk to him. What if Lance had it all wrong and Keith didn't want to fight? Could they even be friends? Why does Lance want that all of the sudden? The questions kept swirling around in his mind as he opened the link to read the poem. It showed the following:

You make me question many things
And make me question everything
Yet you still make a wonderful entrance
You make a scene

Your smile lightens the room
You shine bright in the dark
You make me smile at least once a day
You make a scene

I have never noticed before
How your eyes are a prussian blue
And how they shine wonderfully, sun or moon
You most certainly make a scene

A scene in a play
A scene at work
A scene wherever you go
And somehow, my heart

Did Keith... actually write this? It was beautiful. Lance's heart felt like it was beating faster than the speed of light. Why though? Was it because he was nervous? Hopeful? But what is there to be hopeful for? Friendship possibly, but the way it was written, and the way Lance had reacted...

Oh God

Hehehe >:) that's a wrap for today. I'm about halfway done but I'm not gonna post it all at once because... how about we go with suspense (I'm lazy, that's why)
