The darkness was overwhelming—heavy, suffocating, and cold. There was a flash of green light, sharp pain, and then... nothing. Harriet floated in the void, neither alive nor dead. At that moment, she remembered everything from her past life—a life where she had been a normal girl obsessed with the world of Harry Potter. She had devoured every book, memorized every spell, and cried for the characters who felt like friends. She knew the story, knew its characters, and knew every twist and turn.

But that life was over.

Suddenly, a warmth—a pulse of light—dragged her back. Harriet felt herself being pulled, her consciousness being molded and reshaped. Her body reformed, and she was no longer who she had been. She was a baby.

She opened her eyes to a new world, and it wasn't hard to figure out where she was. The woman cradling her, looking at her with love, was none other than Lily Potter. Harriet's heart leapt, a rush of emotions and memories colliding. She had been reborn in the world of Harry Potter—only, this time, she was Harriet Potter, the girl version of the Boy Who Lived.

The knowledge hit her like a storm. She knew what lay ahead. She knew that in just over a year, Voldemort would come for her, that Lily and James Potter would die protecting her. But she also knew that this was her second chance. With all the knowledge of her past life, she could change things. And she would.

---

Time passed in a blur. Harriet, though now a baby, retained all her memories and knowledge. She watched her parents, James and Lily, and memorized every detail of their life together, savoring every moment because she knew what was coming. She tried to warn them, to cry and scream when she felt the danger approaching, but she was only a baby—she could do little more than hope.

When the night of Halloween finally came, Harriet did everything she could to keep her parents on edge, making them hold her longer, stay awake. But when Voldemort broke through the door, all her efforts were futile. James fell first, and then Lily stood before her, protecting her with a desperate fierceness. The green light flashed, and it was over.

Voldemort pointed his wand at Harriet. "The prophecy. The end of you," he hissed. But Harriet felt no fear. She knew the magic would rebound, that it would mark her as the "Chosen One." When the curse hit her, she felt pain, but the curse backfired, and Voldemort disintegrated. The house crumbled, silence settling over the ruins of Godric's Hollow.

---

Harriet was eventually taken to the Dursleys, and the years that followed were difficult, but she endured them. At six years old, she felt strong enough to start putting her plan into motion. With memories of her past life still intact, she slipped out of the house and headed for Diagon Alley.

Finding the entrance was easy. She tapped the right brick, and the wall opened up to reveal Diagon Alley's bustling street. She made her way to Gringotts, feeling the thrill of magic all around her. It was exactly as she had imagined—grand, imposing, and full of goblins.

Harriet approached a teller, looking up at the goblin with determination. "I need an inheritance test, please."

The goblin raised an eyebrow, surprised to see a small child making such a request, but he led her to a private room. "Place your finger here," he instructed, offering her a small silver knife.

Harriet pricked her finger, letting a drop of blood fall onto the parchment. The blood glowed, and words began to form on the page. She watched in awe as her inheritance was revealed.

Harriet's hands clenched as she read the parchment. She had expected the Potter and possibly the Black titles, but Hogwarts itself was a surprise. The blocks placed by Dumbledore, however, were a revelation. It confirmed her suspicions. Dumbledore had not been the benevolent protector the wizarding world believed him to be—he was a manipulator, keeping her weakened and uninformed. But now, she knew the truth, and she had the means to undo his work.

"I want these blocks removed," she said firmly to the goblin.

The goblin gave a nod. "Very well, Miss Potter. There will be a fee, but as the Heiress of multiple houses, you have more than enough funds." The goblin performed the ritual, and Harriet felt a wave of power course through her as the blocks dissolved. Her magic surged, and she felt more whole, more powerful than she had ever imagined.

---

After the ritual, Harriet requested access to her vault. When the goblin led her down to the Potter family vault, she was struck by its grandeur. Piles of gold, enchanted artifacts, and ancient tomes surrounded her. She quickly grabbed a large pouch, filling it with galleons, and then turned to the shelves of books and artifacts.

She chose a collection of books on magical theory, advanced spellcasting, and wandless magic—skills she knew she would need to hone. She also found an enchanted trunk, perfect for carrying her new acquisitions without being detected. Among the artifacts, she found a small, ornate dagger—the Dagger of Gryffindor, inscribed with runes of protection and power. She pocketed it, feeling its hum of magic.

---

Next, Harriet made her way to Flourish and Blotts. She had a new goal—one that would require more than just the magic she already knew. She needed to learn how to navigate the world of the wizarding elite. She scanned the shelves, selecting books on pureblood etiquette, magical politics, and the intricacies of ancient family rituals. She was determined to master the world she was born into this time.

She also picked up texts on advanced potion-making, combat spells, and dueling techniques. If I'm going to face Voldemort, and Dumbledore too, I'll need every advantage I can get. She refused to be the naive, helpless child the wizarding world expected her to be.

As she paid for the books and tucked them into her trunk, Harriet felt a sense of determination settling over her. She wasn't going to wait for Hogwarts to teach her magic; she was going to start training now. Dumbledore had manipulated her life before, but she wouldn't let him do it again.

Harriet had been given a second chance, and this time, she would be the master of her own destiny. She would become powerful, knowledgeable, and formidable. The magical world wouldn't see her as just the Girl Who Lived. She would be Harriet Potter, the true Heir of Hogwarts, and she would take control of her fate, no matter what it took.
