It had been a week since I got back from the hospital. Jordyn had come home the next day and things were back to normal. Mostly. I'd gotten a lot of writing done in the last week, and picked up some more shifts at work. I was worried I might see Spencer or his work mates while at work, but there had been no sign of any of them. I suppose he's respecting my wishes. Spencer actually staying away was what got me thinking every now and then, though. Would he actually listen and back off if he planned to hurt me? I can't help but wonder if he really was only looking out for me, and when I pushed him away, I might have pushed away a good thing. Like he'd said. But I only let myself wander for a few minutes, before I snap back to reality.

"You're an awful daydreamer," Jason says, snapping me back to my shift.

"Hmm?" He laughs at me slightly, nodding at the half poured coffee beans. "Oh right, sorry," I say, quickly pouring the rest.

"Is that part of the whole writer thing?" he asks, helping me with the machine. "Nostalgia. Daydreaming. I wonder what deep thoughts flood that brain of yours." I laugh at him and shake my head, shrugging.

"Inspiration has to come from somewhere," I admit, closing the lid.

"In a coffee shop?" Jason says sarcastically, unconvinced.

"You'd be surprised," I say, checking the time. 18:00, my shift was over. "Right, I'm off. You all good here?"

"Yeah, yeah. Have a good evening, Nora," he calls, as I grab my things and leave.

I get back home to an empty house, since Jordyn's staying around Tray's tonight. I place my bag and uniform on the desk, and go to the kitchen to make a sandwich, but when I see we're out of cheese and ham I decide to just order in a pizza. I stick on the TV and watch a quick video on Youtube before there's a ring at my doorbell and I rush out to answer it.

"Hello," I say to the delivery man, taking my pizza box. "Thankyou very much." I go to close the door as I lift the lid to check it's the right pizza, but what the problem I saw wasn't about toppings. I open the door back ajar and call out to the delivery man before he leaves.
