The Leaky Cauldron buzzed with the soft hum of chatter and the clinking of mugs. Lyra sat by the window, her finger tracing invisible patterns on the cool glass as her eyes drifted toward Diagon Alley’s hidden entrance. Excitement bubbled in her chest—today, she would finally get her wand.
Her family sat around her, engaged in quiet conversation. Andromeda nudged her gently, pulling Lyra out of her thoughts.
“Nervous?” Andromeda asked, a soft smile tugging at her lips.
Lyra shook her head, her eyes gleaming. “Not nervous. Just… ready.”
A waitress appeared, setting a sundae of butterscotch ice cream in front of Lyra. She inhaled the sweet scent of caramel and grinned.
“Wand first, ice cream second,” Ted said from across the table, though the twinkle in his eye betrayed his teasing tone.
Lyra took a bite, savoring the rich sweetness. “Butterscotch makes everything better. Besides, the wand’s waiting for me.”
“And Diagon Alley’s waiting for you, too,” Ted added, standing. “Let’s get going before the crowds get any thicker.”

"Wow" said Lyra, taking in the beauty of the Alley which has anything and everything for a magical person's need. Though crowded it looked magnificent.
"First let's go to Gringotts and get some money for your supplies." Said Andy looking lovingly at the girl.
They had reached a snowy white building that towered over the other little shops. Standing beside its burnished bronze doors, wearing a uniform of scarlet and gold, were goblins.
The three walked up the white stone steps toward a goblin in a high chair . The goblin was about a head shorter than Lyra. He had a swarthy, clever face, a pointed beard and, Lyra noticed, very long fingers and feet. He bowed as they walked inside.
"Look around love. I know you want to." Said Andy. Lyra smiled up at her and curiously looked around as Andy slowly leaned the goblin in front.
"We'd like to make a withdrawal from the trust vault of Lyra Black" Andy said, her voice lowering for the words 'Lyra Black'. Suspicious.
That was the exact thought going in Lyra's mind. Black? Why did she say Black? Lyra was confused but she stayed quite sensing from the whispering that she wasn’t supposed to hear it.
As they traveled to the vault, Andromeda felt relieved that Lyra hadn’t questioned anything and seemed to be acting normal, indicating she hadn’t heard the words spoken to the goblin.
They reached the vault, collected the money, and returned to Diagon Alley, where they met Ted, who had been waiting for them.
“I got your cauldron for you. Shall we head to Ollivander’s?” Ted asked, holding Lyra’s new copper cauldron.
“Let’s go!” squealed Lyra, momentarily forgetting the strange moment at Gringotts.
“You’ve got to go in alone, darling. We’ll be waiting for you,” said Ted, while Andromeda added, “You’ll do great, and it’s okay to be nervous.”
