It was a normal day at school. When suddenly Kalego, our teacher bursted into our classroom and said "The demon king is here!"
Everyone stared in shock as Kalego told them that he is taking a round and will be checking the classes. Sabnock laughed.
Sabnock: This is the perfect time to show my powers to the demon king!
Lied: Heh, maybe this is just a prank so we could be quiet.
Demon King: A prank huh...
The two swung their heads backwards hearing the deep voice. The demon king was right there, leaning on the wall, nobody knew when he came in. The teacher bowed and the students followed suit. The demon king was not a muscular looking figure, yes he had a great built but he wore elegant clothes.
Demon King: Alright, that's enough. Hmm... ah! Iruma!
Iruma: ??? huh??
Demon king: your grand father told me about you.
Iruma: Oh...
Demon King: 元気でしたか？(How have you been?)
He can speak Japanese?! The rest of the students were confused and looking at Iruma. I guess grandpa knows him.
Iruma: 元気です (I'm fine)
Demon King: 良い (Good), Now I know everyone in this class has a lot of talent..... but you.
He points at Asmodeus. Asmodeus goes towards the demon king. Then he points at Sabnock and he comes as well.
Demon King: You two will be selected.
Everyone: *Gasp!*
So apparently the selection for the next demon king is about to commence. Two candidates from each class have been brought to the center of the school for trial. Every other students and teachers stood around to watch.
Lied: Man, this sure is sudden. Hey, Iruma-kun do you know the demon king by any chance?
Iruma: uhh.. not really, but I guess he knows my grandpa.
Lied: You mean the principle.
Iruma: Yea-
Demon King: Alright! Everyone, now the selection will start!
*Applause*
The demon king explained the rules to the contestants and they began. His voice sounded like he was using a mic. It was pretty weird at first, they were doing house-hold things which shocked everybody. I mean who wound have thought that the demon king would have this king of skill.
Sabnock was really excited at first about him being the new demon king but now he looks as if he is done for. He obviously not good at this, on the other hand Asmodeus is basically perfect, the others are struggling and some are okey but not as good.
Finally at the end of the trial, the exhausted contestants lined up in behind the demon king.
Demon king: Alright I have come to a concussion....... Asmodeus Alice, come to the front.
Gasp: Hah! I knew it'd be him.
Jazz: Look, Sabnock is at the verge of crying. Hahaha.
Clara: Yay! Azu-azu!
Asmodeus (mind): Oh! this is... so disgraceful! Iruma-sama should be in my place.
I clapped for Azz and am very happy for him. I give him a big smile and he shreds some tears.
Demon king: Asmodeus Alice will be...
Everyone was silent.... just waiting... for....
Demon king: The demon..... king's butler!
*Shock!!! gasp!!!*
Azz stood frozen at the sudden revelation. So yes, the demon king has many servants, but his butler has the second highest authority. So being his butler isn't a bad thing, actually it's a really high position in the nether world.
Student: So there isn't a new demon king?
Demon king: Why are you disappointed?
He raised a brow. The student got overwhelmed by his power and very much scared to the point his pants would fall off.
Student: N-no, I-I mean
Demon king: Don't worry, I already selected that a long time ago.
Everyone: who could it be?
*whisper*
Jazz: Hey look, Sabnock's face looks brighter than a sun now.
Demon King: The new demon king and my replacement is............. Iruma-kun!
Everyone: Ehhhhhhh!
Iruma: Whatttt!!!!!
He screamed so loudly that the crow flew away.
