Ugh... man. My head hurts... I feel so... warm...
What the hell...?
Guess that's what happens when you go through something like this? I don't know...
His consciousness felt very weak when it finally came to, and his body struggled to move around immediately. It took him a good thirty seconds for him to finally open his eyes and get a glimpse of his environment. Just like Sein had told him, he was in a similar area to the treehouse where he fell asleep, still laying down on the same couch. While the house was the same, the atmosphere surrounding it seemed a little darker than normal, as if it was under the cover of night...
The stiffness of his body eventually faded, allowing him to quickly hop off the couch and stand up... only for his head to smack into the light fixture on the ceiling.
"O-Ow! What the fu-?!" He cut himself off quickly, noticing a distinct change in his voice. It was now deeper and more bassy, which was in direct contrast with Ori's voice, being boyish and relatively high pitched. He didn't understand why until he looked down at his body, seeing that it, too, had drastically changed.
Obviously, he was definitely taller than he was previously, as his head was just about a foot away from touching the wooden ceiling. His actual body was mostly covered by a blackish gray cloak, but he was able to see his hands, tinted beige with a few strands of tiny hair poking out from them. He felt his face and was unable to feel any sense of fur, aside from the decent bit of hair on the top of his head. When he looked down, instead of seeing the paw-like feet he got used to walking around on, he saw these two black boots, rising just to his ankle. Curious, he sat back down on the couch and removed one of them and the white sock underneath, finding a five-toed beige foot.
His body had completely changed, but why? He assumed it had something to do with the Soul Scape. Given the name, he had to assume that his body wasn't a physical body, but rather one projected by his own soul to be used in this realm. If that's the case, it's no wonder that he would look how he was supposed to in the Soul Scape.
But... I have to admit, I... kind of liked being in Ori's body...
After putting his sock and boot back on, he stood back up, being careful not to hit his head on the chandelier again, and opened the door of the treehouse. He was still atop the Spirit Tree, or at least a visage of it, its little leaves glistening with a vague magical energy. It all seemed to be the same as the real world was, but once he scaled down the Spirit Tree and landed on the grass, he finally noticed the changes in the environment.
The most notable change was the sky. Rather than the mostly sunny day he woke up to this morning, it was covered in a dark void. However, in front of that darkness, there were many long strands of light in the sky, half colored blue and the others colored purple. They all seemed to flow with one another, some intertwining with one another and others separated from each other. There were hundreds of them, possibly thousands, but he wasn't exactly sure what they meant.
The other major thing he noticed were the landmarks. Having seen the scale of Nibel previously, he realized that the landmarks that made up the forest seemed to be much closer to one another than in the real world. He wondered what he would find if he investigated them, but he soon saw a large, pulsating wall of dark energy surrounding the area, supposedly preventing his access to these areas. If that was the case, perhaps the real Ori was much closer than he thought...
Well... Sein mentioned Ori being in a dark place, so there's gotta be...?
After doing a cursory glance of the area, he did notice a clear abnormality: A decently large cave which seemed to tunnel at a slight downward angle. He never saw something like this in the real world, so he could only assume that this was his ticket to finding the lost spirit...
