Amara and Aelin Ashryver Galathynius, twins born to Evalin Ashryver and Rhoe Galathynius; the King and Queen of Terrasen. Evalin and Rhoe were ecstatic to be parents, having tried for a long while. So when they were blessed with twins, they thought the gods were on their side finally.

But oh how they were wrong

Amara was a quiet child. She was the heir of Terrasen and often had all eyes on her. Amara was docile, unlike her sister and spent her days studying to be the future Queen. She wanted to be the best ruler yet and spent everyday on becoming a better leader. When she wasn't pouring over books or helping out her people, she was training. Her father was particularly hard on Amara, as he thought she was soft and soft gets you killed. So he made her train ruthlessly along side her cousin and future warrior, Aedion Ashryver. Though the two did not get along as he was unruly just like her twin.

Amara's powers were another reason she kept to herself

Amara's powers were another reason she kept to herself. Her powers were something of death itself. She not only had Mala's fire powers like her twin but she also had Hellas death powers. And eventually she was blessed with every single power the gods and goddesses possessed. She could transform into any form, snap a neck with the flick of her fingers, raise the dead with a wink of her eye, or burn the world with just a smile. Amara was dangerous. And for that, she was hunted.

Amara and Aelin were not very close. They were exact opposites of each other. Amara was quiet and fierce. While Aelin was wild and chaotic. The two mixed as well as water and oil; but they loved eachother. And would protect each other no matter the cost. While Aelin spent most of her time with Aedion, Amara would spend her time with the Prince of Adarlan, Dorian Havilliard. The two were alike in many ways, both having the pressure of heir on their shoulders. They would train together, send each other books, and write constantly. And for once, Amara had a friend.
