Chapter 3: Making Friends

Draven

As I watched my witch walk into the fancy restaurant with her head held high and her back straightened confidently, I could see the underlying nervousness in her demeanor. I wondered when I would tell her who I truly was—her mate.

After the intimate moment, we shared while I was in my cat form, all I could think about was touching her with my real hands and tongue, but I knew that wasn't possible for now.

Learning how she ended up here in New York City and about her penthouse made me question whether she could truly be happy in the demon realm.

It wasn't exactly a quiet place, but perhaps I could cast a silence spell to dull the sounds of the screams from those begging for their lives outside her soon-to-be new home.

It was their fault they broke their deals, and when that happened, death followed. But damn... can I just say that touching Mira like that in my cat form—seeing her totally get turned on—made me hard as hell?

Even as a cat, I felt an overwhelming urge to rub against her. That's what I wanted to do, but she'd probably freak if her "familiar" started humping her thigh. I had to do something to calm myself down, so I forced myself to stop before I lost control completely.

I wanted to kiss her lips so badly. I'm not saying it's bad to do that in cat form, it's just not the same. But I would devour her in both cat and human form.

Yes, I've never gone down on a woman in human form or any type of animal form. It's new for me, but it excites me so much. I wanted to devour her in either form, but I wanted to kiss her lips against mine in human form to truly feel them.

"Fuck... I should be in there with her," I growled to myself as I sat in my cat form on the wet floor, watching Mira through the big windows as she sat with a group of friends.

She was actually smiling? There were two girls and a guy, who couldn't take his eyes off of her. Move your eyes off of her, human!

I still couldn't believe my mate was half human. She was both of the kinds I had always hated, but how could I hate her? It doesn't mean I won't hate other witches and humans, though. She's probably the only one I'll ever like.

I watched carefully as I used my powers to see through her eyes and hear whatever they were saying...

"I'm Mira. I actually live nearby. Do you guys come here often?"

"Omg, hi! I'm Hope! We do! We love the food and drinks here. So good!" Hope replied, looking about 5'6" with light blue eyes and dirty blonde hair.
