Sam and Colby have now been back from their New Zealand trip for 3 weeks. They still haven't told the house, or the internet that they had gotten together. They went through with their plans of going on a few dates to see how things would pan out, and after 4 dates, they made it official. They started officially dating. Now that they had those logistics played out, they wanted to tell the house, and eventually the fans. The house was in the middle of The Prank War, and the last couple of pranks had been pulled on Sam and Colby, including Elton's giant smack cam, and Corey and Devyn's "We're pregnant and going back to Florida" pranks, Corey's being the most recent. Both Sam and Colby were falling behind on likes and views, and they needed something to help them get back into the game, so they devised a plan.

Since they were wanting to come out anyway, they wanted to use this as an opportunity to pull a long prank on the house. Elton had just gotten back, and everyone would be home for the next month, at least. Their plan had been composed of 3 parts,

The set up.

Filming.

Reveal.

This was going to take place over a few weeks.

Part 1: Sam and Colby were going to start "acting" closer to each other. Small touches on the arm, lingering eye contact, staying up late in each other's rooms, making notice of going out together, just the two of them, not for filming. They would do this for a week or so, just until they noticed the roommates getting suspicious of their activities.

Part 2: They were going to hide a camera, not very well, just well enough to delay it being found, and bring all the roommates into the same room where Corey and Devyn did their prank. They would have everyone sit down, and tell them they were dating, but trying their best to make it look fake. Acting anxious, keeping a bit of distance, more than what they had been showing all week, and glancing over to where the camera was "hidden". The roommates would call them out, not believe it, and Sam and Colby would "admit they were pranking the house" and then end the video.

Part 3: Sam and Colby would not change their behaviors. They'd still act just as close, just repeating everything from part 1, until someone would ask them about it. Then, they would reveal that the roommates pranked themselves by not believing Sam and Colby when they originally told them. They would title the video 'getting the roommates to prank themselves' and not have an intro explaining anything. The video would start with Sam and Colby getting the roommates together, and that whole conversation. It would then just be clips of Sam and Colby being close, and the weird looks the roommates would give them, until someone asks about it, and the final reveal of the roommates pranking themselves.

It was a long shot. It took a lot of careful planning, and it required everything to happen exactly as planned. So far, Part 1 had been working. They would hear roommates wake up in the night and pause at the top of the stairs, hearing Sam and Colby up talking and laughing. That part wasn't too out of the ordinary, until Sam and Colby would walk down the stairs at the same time in the morning, shoulder to shoulder, not the usual one behind the other. They almost never woke up at the same time, Sam was much more the early bird, and Colby would sleep in until 1. They would sit closer on the couch during movie nights, or when someone was playing Fortnite or Rocket League. They were getting looks from the roommates, but no one said anything, after all, it wasn't any of the roommates' business to give their input. They all figured Sam and Colby would tell them if something were going on.

It was then the day of the "prank". Sam and Colby had set it up really well. The whole day they had been close and talking in quiet voices to each other, and would quickly stop when someone else came into the room and completely changed whatever they were talking about. Right after dinner, instead of hanging out with everyone else, they went upstairs. They went up there to make sure they had what they were going to say planned out. It was about 20 minutes later when they walked downstairs and into the other room. They "hid the camera" in the space under the stairs, and put a box next to it so it looked like an attempt to hide it. Then it was time for the conversation to start.
