"Fine"

Today was the day Embreigh Watson was going to sign up for the ducks hockey team. Embreigh grew up playing hockey ever since she was little, she absolutely adored hockey, especially playing with her cousins but after she got a little older she had to move away from her cousins to Edina Minnesota because her dad got a very good job opportunity there which separated her and her cousins. Yes, she does see them once in a while but not as much as she used to. But back to now she still plays hockey on this small frozen lake that she goes to and practices on every day. Before she moved she was on this wonderful team with most of her friends, she adored her team, but after she moved she had to leave her team behind unfortunately.

Right now Embreigh is in her living room of her house having a conversation with her family, which was just her parents. She has no older nor younger siblings which she really wish she had but she didn't, but at least she had her cat named Berry. Her parents and her were talking about how it's time for Embreigh to join an actual hockey team again.

"Cmon Bri I think it's time for you to join a team again" said her dad.

"Yeah Ems it's also a good opportunity for you to make more friends, and a you will be getting out the house besides of leaving just for school" says her mother.

"But momm, I do get out the house, I go out when I go practice on the small frozen lake and anyways your my parents don't you want me staying home and not messing around and being out and about!?" says Embreigh.

"Yes Ems I am your mother but I do want you to go out and be a teen you are always home either reading,baking, or listening to music and no that is not bad things to do it's just I want you to have fun and enjoy being teen!" said her mom.

"You know what fine you're right I think I will try out for a team, but still on my free time I will still either read or bake I find doing that very fun!" says Embreigh.

Both her parents sighed finally getting their daughter to agree. Embreigh did have friends but she never hung out with them out of school. So her parents thought maybe joining a new hockey team will help her make more friends and be able to hang out with them a lot.

So later in the afternoon around about 1 pm Embreigh and her parents went off to see if Embreigh will be able to audition for the team. As they walk up to this lady to get some paperwork Embreigh gets a bit nervous and plays a bit with the strap of her hockey bag. As she starts to get nervous and thinks about how she will play on an actual team again after a while and other similar thoughts.

"Here you go and I wish Embreigh good luck!" says the kind lady giving Embreigh's parents paperwork for them to sign for the team.

"Thank you very much!" says Embreigh's mother as she nudges Embreigh to say thank you for the good luck wish.

"Oh thank you ma'am!" says Embreigh.

"You're absolutely welcome cutie!" the lady says.

Embreigh patiently waits with hockey bag for her parents to finish signing the papers and meet up with the coach of the ducks' team.

Eventually they get all the paperwork signed and turn it in back to the lady. Surprisingly the coach who Embreigh found out their name, Coach Bombay wanted to see Embreigh audition the same day which made her nervous. She was so grateful she practiced an hour longer than she usually does the day before.

As Embreigh and her parents walk into the rink they get greeted by coach Bombay. Coach Bombay was back in Minnesota who barely brought the ducks all together again. The next day after getting the ducks together he had a conversation with Jan's who was talking about how there was this wonderful girl who played hockey amazingly who wanted to audition for a spot on the team. He'd seen some video tapes of her past games on her other team and was very impressed, which he decided to let her audition.

"Hello Embreigh, i'm guessing you're here to audition for a spot on my team?" Bombay says.

Embreigh nods and says "Yes I am."

"Ok good i've seen you play and you have played very good, i'm hoping i can get you a spot on my team soon but first I gotta see you play in person." Bombay says.

She nods again as she heads into the locker room to get her gear on while her parents talk to Bombay.

As she finishes she walks to out to see a few of the ducks. She knew them but had never spoke to them before.

"Ok Embreigh may you get on the ice and show me what you got, you are going to go against and teaming with a few of my players. He says as Banks, Germaine, Moreau, Conway, and a few other ducks get into position.

Embreigh can feel herself getting quite nervous as she gets onto the ice and faces Banks first. As the puck drops she immediately goes for it and steals it first passing it to her "teammate" Germaine. As them scrimmage goes on for audition she makes the first goal which makes her gain confidence and loses some nervousness.

Eventually the "scrimmage" and her audition had ended and Embreigh had scored about 8 goals which was very good and her opposing team got about 6 goals which was still good too. But that had meant she had won which made her happy. Playing hockey again with a team made her feel more alive. But to mention when she saw Adam banks she felt her heart beat speed up a bit, when the game first started and she first faced off Adam they had made eye contact which got Embreigh a bit nervous but eventually she wasn't nervous anymore.

After the praises from the ducks and Coach Bombay after the audition her parents and Bombay shared numbers and he said he would let them know if she had made the team.

On her way back home she grabbed her walkman and put in the cassette of the song "Eyes Without a Face" by Billy Idol and stared outside the car window heading back home.
