Chapter 6

After school hours, Jeonghan planned to visit Joshua again at the hospital. He hadn't seen his brother for a long time because of the intense longing he felt.

Arriving at Joshua's ward, Jeonghan immediately hugged Joshua tightly. A meeting that made them miss each other. In the past, these siblings were never separated. Usually when Joshua went somewhere, Jeonghan always followed him and vice versa.

Joshua happened to be studying with Dokyeom, taught by Seungcheol. Dokyeom sat across from Joshua's bed.

"Joshua, are you okay? When you're being sick like this, you don't want to miss the school. Seungcheol might be even more exhausted." Jeonghan asked while gently stroking Joshua's black hair.

"Don't worry, Jeonghan. Dokyeom sent me here. He told me that he and Joshua wanted to study together. Because the midterm exams are almost here." Seungcheol said.

"I'm fine, bro. Dokyeom is here to guard me last night." Joshua said.

"Thank you for caring about Joshua." Jeonghan said.

"Yes... The school will also follow up on Joshua's case. Let's just wait and see what the progress is like." Seungcheol said.

"Thank God, the school already knows about it. Oh, yeah. Because you were here, Mingyu was acting awkward at school." Jeonghan said.

"What? What did he do?" Dokyeom said.

"He tried to confess to Wonwoo, but Wonwoo kept rejecting him. I heard from Wonwoo himself that Mingyu never gave up on confessing his love to him."

"They've been like that since junior high. I don't know why Wonwoo keeps rejecting him. Wonwoo's ideal type is actually someone like Mingyu."

"That's so weird. Maybe Mingyu is too perfect for him."

"Oh, yeah. Jeonghan, did a student ask you about me?" Joshua said.

"A student?" Jeonghan said, trying to remember who had talked to him at school.

"There were a lot of students who talked to me. What happened?"

"I remember there was a student who was the main culprit in my case. But, I have a hard time remembering her because of this collision."

"Don't force yourself to remembering her. Your head will hurt even more."

"Yes, Joshua. You better focus on healing your body. After everything is over, you can do whatever you want." Seungcheol said.

"Okay..." Joshua said.

"Oh, yeah. Joshua, was Dokyeom nice to you while you were in the same room with him?" Jeonghan asked.

Joshua chuckled a little and fell silent for a moment to think about what answer he should give. Joshua glanced at Dokyeom briefly.

Dokyeom wasn't unkind to Joshua. The proof is when Joshua was battered yesterday, Dokyeom was the first person to find him, take revenge on Taehyung, and pay for Joshua's medical expenses at the hospital.

It's just that Dokyeom is very cold, a bit stiff, and has no expression and a flat face that is always shown every day. Dokyeom will only chuckle when he is behind Joshua.

"Joshua, do you like Dokyeom?" Jeonghan asked again.

Joshua, who was eating a snack, immediately choked because of the sudden question, same as Dokyeom. Jeonghan quickly took a glass of water and gave it to Joshua and Dokyeom.

"What kind of question is that? Are you a journalist?" Seungcheol chuckled.

"Why do you ask about that? I almost died just now." Dokyeom said with his chest rising and falling as he took in as much air as possible.

"I'm just curious. Joshua looks more excited when he's with Dokyeom lately. It seems like..." Jeonghan stopped his words then looked at Joshua with a smile to tease his brother.

"Jeonghan... Dokyeom and Cheol are in here. I'm embarrassed..." Joshua whined while pursing his lips, either feeling annoyed or embarrassed because of Jeonghan's words.

"Yes, I'm sorry. Then, continue your study session first. Forgive me for making noise here." Jeonghan said then got up from his place.

Three days later, Dokyeom was still skipping school and insisted on taking care of Joshua until he was completely healed.

Jihyun who felt suspicious approached Mingyu at his seat who was playing a moba game on his cellphone.

"Where's Dokyeom? I haven't seen him go to school lately. Is he sick?" Jihyun said.

"Dokyeom? He's having an event with his family. What's wrong?" Mingyu said who didn't look at Jihyun at all.

"I just feel weird. Ever since he shared a room with Joshua, Dokyeom has become weird for me."

"What's weird? He's acting like usual."

"I'm afraid that-" 

"What? You're afraid that Joshua is dating Dokyeom?"

"What are you saying?"

"Don't think too weirdly, Kook Jihyun. I'm in a bad mood today. If you don't have anything important to say, go back to your seat."

"You really can't be trusted, Gyu." Jihyun then chose to return to her seat after getting tired of dealing with Mingyu who didn't appreciate her conversation.

"I'm sure Dokyeom must be with that new kid! This can't be allowed. I'll beat up that new kid as soon as he shows up at school." Jihyun said to Taehyung on the rooftop.

"You're being too hasty. Give him a breath first to enjoy this school. You can't hurt someone who's just recovered from his wounds again." Taehyung said.

"He made Dokyeom skip the school."

"You're the one who made him skip school!"

"What? Are you blaming me?"

"I'm so surprised... He's only been here for two days and you're already asking me to beat him up. Was hurting and beating him up in your best friend's will? Or was it your own will?"

"You... Are you now defending that new kid after being beaten up by Dokyeom?"

"I'm not defending anyone. I just want to tell you not to do anything to Joshua for now. He's not as strong as we think, give him a time."

"You've never been this nice to any omega. You're even treating that weak omega favorably."

"I'm not treating him favorably. I just want to know how strong he can survive in this school. There are many fierce and depraved alphas in our school, we're not the only opponents in here."

Jihyun and Taehyung's conversation was indirectly observed by someone from the next building with binoculars.

Joshua has been hospitalized for almost a week. And finally Joshua can live his life at school as before. The wounds on his body have disappeared, Joshua can also walk normally.

According to Joshua, one or several students from this class must have seen anyone who entered the men's bathroom other than Joshua, Taehyung, and their friends.

Joshua suddenly remembered something related to this class, there was someone he knew he could interview as a witness.
