(Ok, for this to work, I'm going to make Beauxbaton and Durmstrang unisex schools - anyway)
So, the main cast doesn't go to Hogwarts because they're not British. They're French, so they go to Beauxbaton. This year, their school is hosting the whole Triwizard thing. The Tournament is basically a sideplot at this point since, right now, at least, I'm making it that none of the main cast get chosen for it. Anyway, Beauxbaton is hosting, and after Hogwarts makes their entrance whatever-whatever, Durmstrang has the coolest thing ever. They do the whole martial arts thing similar to the movie, and they are carried by their school's "pride and joy": Andromeda Katerina Anastasia Melina Romanov-Hawthorne (yes, she does have a long name in my mind).
She does the whole gymnastics routine entrance with her siblings, pulling off flexibility and other abilities not known to mortal humans, breathing fire, the while she-bang. And Luka. Is. Freaking. Starstruck by this badass, weapon wielding, wandless magic wielding, clad in red and fur woman who is helping represent her school in this inter-school tournament, and thinks that HE HAS TO TALK TO HER BEFORE THIS THING'S OVER!!

(she's part of a quad set - has 2 brothers - Orion/Rion - basically if Sirius black and Conan Gray had a kid, personality wise, reference: https://pin.it/398QkGBPe, and Ajax/Jax - based on this guy: https://pin.it/3Vp7fhDL0. But with a bit more personality and a love for graffiti and privacy from people who aren't his siblings. Her identical sister, based on movie Nimona with slight more punk attributes and longer-ish hair)
