The evening sunlight cast a soft golden hue through Hao's bedroom window as he lay sprawled on his bed, lazily scrolling through his social media feed. He had just finished a shift at the café and was looking for something to do over the weekend. That's when a post caught his eye: a party invitation for the upcoming Saturday. It was a big event-cool venue, lots of people, and good music. The thought of going filled him with excitement, but then a small frown appeared on his face. Parties like this weren't fun alone; he'd need a buddy.

Hao bit his lip, thinking. He quickly ruled out Ricky-his quiet friend wasn't much for parties. Taerae was also out of the question, as he was going on a date with Junhyeon that night. That left one option.

Hanbin.

Hao immediately brightened at the thought. Hanbin loved fun, and he'd definitely be the type to enjoy a party like this. And besides, ever since they'd started getting closer, Hao found himself wanting to spend more time with him.

Without wasting another second, Hao hopped off his bed and made his way to the café where Hanbin was, probably in the back taking his break. As he entered, the sound of the coffee grinder and quiet chatter filled the air, but Hao was focused on one thing.

He spotted Hanbin sitting in a corner booth, his head leaning back against the wall, eyes closed with his arms crossed. His dark hair fell slightly over his eyes, and a subtle rhythm played from the AirPods in his ears. He seemed completely lost in whatever song he was listening to.

Hao walked up to him and, without thinking twice, gently tugged on Hanbin's sleeve. Hanbin's eyes fluttered open, and he looked down at Hao, raising a brow in question. Hao started talking, but Hanbin just blinked at him, mouthing, "I can't hear you."

Hao let out an exaggerated whine, pouting slightly. Hanbin chuckled and, in one smooth motion, took out one of his AirPods and gently placed it in Hao's ear.

A beat of soft, melodic music filled Hao's ear as Hanbin leaned in slightly. "Okay, okay, what is it?" Hanbin asked, his voice playful.

Hao rolled his eyes, trying to suppress the smile tugging at his lips. "Sooo, there's this party I wanna go to..."

"Uh huh?" Hanbin said, giving him a curious look as he straightened up, obviously intrigued.

"And I need a buddy to get in..." Hao continued, rocking slightly on his heels. He wasn't entirely sure why he was nervous asking Hanbin, but there was something about spending the evening with him that made the butterflies in his stomach stir.

"A buddy, huh?" Hanbin repeated, his lips curling into a smirk. "What about your bestfriend and Ricky? They didn't wanna go?"

Hao nodded sheepishly. "Yeah. But I figured, you know... you're free, and you like fun stuff, so why not?"
