When Lila returned to the studio, Ethan was there, going over some sketches. He looked up and instantly noticed the change in her demeanor. “Hey, how did it go?” he asked, concern evident in his eyes.
“It was… complicated,” Lila replied, taking a seat beside him. “Sophie apologized, and I think she genuinely regrets what happened. But it’s still hard for me to trust her.”
Ethan reached for her hand, his grip reassuring. “You did the right thing by standing up for yourself. I’m proud of you for facing her.”
“Thanks. It was tough, but I felt like I needed to put everything on the table. I want to focus on us and the future,” Lila said, feeling grateful for Ethan’s support.
“Us too,” Ethan replied, his voice warm. “I want to make sure you feel secure in our relationship, especially with everything that’s happened.”
They spent the evening brainstorming new ideas for Lila’s upcoming collection. As they worked, the tension from her earlier encounter faded away, replaced by a sense of camaraderie and creativity.
“Let’s create something that embodies strength and resilience,” Lila suggested, her enthusiasm palpable.
“I love that idea. We can showcase your journey and the challenges you’ve overcome,” Ethan replied, his eyes sparkling with inspiration.
