Kendo Gun Shop, Raccoon City — September 29th, 1998

It doesn't come as a surprise to Mason that Ada magically has a key to the gun shop, but he is rather thankful that she does have a key, because he isn't exactly wanting to go in search of another damn key tonight. Even though he doesn't trust Ada, he doesn't let her walk into the dodgy looking shop first, gently nudging past her with the Matilda in his grasp. He isn't planning on letting anyone else die on his watch, no matter how sketchy a person may be.

The shop is a mess, looking as though it has been thoroughly ransacked by more than its fair share of people. Shelves have been upturned and stray ammunition cartridges are all over the floor, bullets making impromptu boobytraps for unwanted visitors all across the shop floor. There are empty spots on the walls from missing guns, and it's specifically the ones with either high firepower or rapid fire.

"What a mess..." Ada says, looking around the shop.

There's a slight crunch of glass and Mason's mismatched eyes fly towards the shop counter, spotting the shopkeeper himself coming out of the back room with a gun in his hands. On instinct, Mason raises his handgun and steps back towards Leon and Ada, keeping them in the corner of his vision to ensure that they're okay. It doesn't look as though they're going to catch a break at any point tonight, and he's starting to get pissed off.

Robert Kendo shuffles forward, dark eyes wild. "Don't move!"

Leon raises his hands, Lightning Hawk Magnum back in its holster. "I'm not going to hurt you—"

     "I said don't move!"

Mason inhales sharply, fingers twitching as the gun is aimed directly at Leon. "Mr. Kendo, I'm going to ask you to lower your gun. We're not here to harm you, or Emma."

The man's crazed eyes look at Mason, seemingly caught off guard. "What the hell are you doing here, kid? Where the hell have you been?"

"It's a bit of a long story, and we sure as hell don't have time for it. So... I'd very much appreciate it if you wouldn't point that gun at the rookie." He smiles a little, a warning edge to his words. "Please, for all of our sakes, lower the damn gun."
