The Sewers, Raccoon City — September 30th, 1998

Midnight tips them over from September 29th into September 30th in the aftermath of the events in the gun shop, and Mason is thankful that they're getting closer to being out of this damn city.

The sewers are a maze of twisting pipes covered in grime and trash, but, thankfully, there are no infected to speak of — which Mason is grateful for, because he's so damn tired of their persistence.      An explosion makes them stumble, water sloshing around their feet as the shockwaves make it tremble, and Mason hears a distant growl, coming from something much larger than they have already faced this night. Someone stumbles into his back and Mason reaches out on instinct, steadying them, mismatched eyes looking back when he realises that the arm is much too thin to be Leon's. Ada is ruffled from the pseudo earthquake, and her beige trench coat is starting to be covered in grime, but...
