Taehyung:
Sorry, sweetheart. I wasn't able to attend your birthday party. Something urgent came up.

Jungkook's heart sank, his smile fading as he reread the message. He could feel his excitement disappeared, and he stared blankly at his phone for a moment, biting his lower lip.

Yoongi, who had been watching Jungkook from the side, noticed the sudden change in Jungkook's face expression. He furrowed his brow, stepping closer, "Baby, what's wrong?" He asked softly, leaning in.

Jungkook snapped himself out of his little world, faking a small smile, "N-Nothing. Just... One of my friend said he can't come."

Yoongi narrowed his eyes slightly, absolutely not getting convinced by Jungkook's smile, but he decided not to ask too much now. "I see... But, we're here with you, right? Don't let it ruin your day."

Jungkook nodded, managing a smile. He quickly replied Taehyung.

Jungkook:
It's okay...

At the next moment, he heard the doorbell rang. His eyes lit up, glistened in hope as he stood up quickly, "I'll get it!" He said loudly, running towards the door.

"Jungkook!" Yoongi called out, feeling confused over his brother's action.

While Jungkook already reached the front door and opened it, revealed the man that he wanted to meet for the past few days. His sugar baby did keep his promises.

And there stood Taehyung, dressed in a black suit with silver linings, the exact suit that Jungkook bought for him.

Jungkook doesn't know how to react at all, while Taehyung held the exact opposite expression as him. The older man was having a mischievous grin on his face, looking effortlessly handsome.

At the next second, when Jungkook finally gathered his minds, his face screamed anger, "You lied to me!" He said and was about to slam the door shut, Taehyung quickly stepped inside, putting his hand against the door.

"I'm not lying-" "I hate liars!" Jungkook cuts off Taehyung's sentences, and the male's face paled after his statement.

"Sweetheart," Taehyung softly called out, heart clenching when he noticed Jungkook's eyes were red and teary, "I didn't lie. I did have something urgent to do. But I figure out you would be upset if I wasn't here so I came."

Jungkook paused, his hand still gripping the door handle. He looked down, lips pressed into a pout, refusing to meet Taehyung's gaze. Taehyung reached out, brushing his fingers gently against Jungkook's cheek, trying to comfort him.

"I really didn't lie to you. Not today, not on your birthday." Taehyung continued.

Jungkook slowly glanced up, "Fine, I trust you." He muttered.

Taehyung hummed in reply, ruffling Jungkook's hair. "Now, don't you feel excited to see what I got for you?" He took out a box behind his back, handing it to Jungkook. It was beautifully wrapped, small black box with a silver ribbon.

Jungkook blinked, eyeing the gift, "What's this?" He asked.

Taehyung smirked, leaning in closer, "Why don't you open it and find out?"

Jungkook eyed him suspiciously before carefully untied the ribbon and opened the box. Inside was a silver bracelet, simple yet elegant, with a small charm shaped like a crescent moon. It's suit Jungkook's style perfectly.

Jungkook's eyes widened in awe, "This is so beautiful..." He whispered, fingers brushing over the delicate charm. Soon he frowned, "It looks expensive. You shouldn't get me such an expensive gift-" "Anything for the birthday boy."

Taehyung whispered, smiling. Before Jungkook could respond, he took the bracelet and gently fastened it around Jungkook's wrist. Jungkook watched in silence with his heart already thumping crazily.

"Perfect." Taehyung said, using the pad of his thumb to caress Jingkook's wrist. The gentle touch from the older male makes Jungkook smile again.

"Taehyungie-" "Jungkook, who's at the door? Why are taking so much time?" Yoongi's voice from the living room interrupted Jungkook.

"You should go, sweetheart. Your family is calling for you." Taehyung said, "I have to go too."

Jungkook nodded, hesitating for a moment before grabbing Taehyung's collar, pulling him down rather harshly.

"What-" Taehyung was confused for a second before he felt Jungkook's lips against his for just a second before their lips parted. Jungkook pulled away from the male, cheeks turned red as he stammered, "G-Goodbye!"

Taehyung blinked, clearly caught off guard by the sudden kiss. His eyes widened, then lips curved into a soft smile. He reached out to gently cup Jungkook's flushed cheek.

"Goodbye, sweetheart." Taehyung whispered back, leaning down and placed a soft kiss on his forehead, "Happy birthday, Jungkook."

He pulled away slowly, turning on his heel and heading towards the front gate. Jungkook watched him until he disappeared, his heart still pounding in his chest.

As he turned back to the house, Jungkook was still grinning. He glanced at the bracelet around his wrist, its delicate crescent charm moving along his movement. He couldn't help but trace his fingers over the cool metal. He jumped up a little when he heard a fake cough behind.

"Ahem."

Jungkook quickly turned around and saw Seokjin standing in the hallway. The older man had his arms crossed, one eyebrow arched high. Jungkook doesn't know when did his father starts standing there.

"Eomma..." Jungkook softly called out.

Seokjin hummed in reply. "You're taking so long, so I decided to check on you. But why are you alone? Where's your friend?" He asked.

"He has something urgent to settle." Jungkook said, trying his best to press down the smile on his face when he reminded himself with the kiss. He rushed towards Seokjin, wrapping his arms around Seokjin's, "Let's head back. I want to have my cake!"

Seokjin let out a small chuckle at Jungkook's childish look. But he knew, even he looks so childish now, he's already a grown up man.

Seokjin decided to keep a little secret, a secret that involves his precious son's first kiss today.
