At the Kim mansion, Jungkook lay unconscious in his bed while Seokjin sat beside him, brushing Jungkook's hair gently. He sighed loudly as he averted his gaze, setting it on his husband who stood near the window, arms crossed, watching his son silently.
"So, you just leave Taehyung there?" Seokjin asked softly.
"Of course." Namjoon replied, "Or do you expect me to bring him along?"
Seokjin sighed, muttering, "Overprotective bastard." It wasn't audible for Namjoon and even if it does, his husband won't be able to do anything to him.
Seokjin was glad that Yoongi went for another business trip today. Or else, if he sees Jungkook was unconscious in Namjoon's arms, he will definitely freak out, asking a thousand of questions.
He sighed again, gently running his fingers through Jungkook's hair, "Joonie, don't you think you're being a bit too harsh on them? Jungkook loves Taehyung, you can't break them apart like that."
Namjoon's jaw clenched, but he didn't immediately respond. His gaze still remained on Jungkook as he contemplated Seokjin's words. "Harsh? You think I'm harsh? I'm just trying to protect our son! That Kim Taehyung is a fucking mafia-" "Kim Namjoon."
Seokjin interrupted Namjoon's sentence, voice turning serious and deep as he glared at his husband, "Don't raise your voice at me and mind your language."
Namjoon pursed his lips, head lowered down, "I'm sorry, hyung,"
Seokjin hummed in reply. "I know your intention. I'm Jungkook's father too, of course I wanted him to be safe. But at the same time, I want him to be happy too." He said.
"You know Jungkook is a late preterm baby, and how many efforts we have poured out to keep him alive. I'm not asking much from him. I just wanted him to be safe and happy." Seokjin continued, "Even if he never meet Taehyung, even if Taehyung is not a mafia boss, he's still living in danger, with the identity of the son of the president in Seoul."
Namjoon remained silent, his eyes flickering with a mixture of frustration and concern. He approached Seokjin, wrapping his arms around his husband body, "I understand. I wanted him to be happy too, hyung." Namjoon said, his voice softer now, "But I just... I can't lose him, hyung."
Seokjin met his gaze, his expression calm but firm, "Joonie, we won't lose him. But keeping him away from Taehyung will also break him in different way."
Namjoon let go of his husband, looking down at the floor, like a kid who just lost his favourite candy,
Seokjin chuckled at his look. He reached his hands out and cupped Namjoon's cheeks, "Give him a chance, Joonie. Give both of them a chance. We just have to trust them."
Namjoon closed his eyes for a moment, trying to calm himself down. When he opened them again, his gaze softened, offering his husband a small smile. "I'll try."
Seokjin nodded, placing a soft kiss on Namjoon's lips. "Good daddy." He said, soon cheeks turned red when he realised what he just said.
Namjoon lifted on of his eyebrow, smirking, "Daddy?"
"N-No, the d-daddy I mean is you're Jungkook's daddy-" Seokjin tried to explain, just to find out Namjoon's smile getting wider and wider until his dimple was shown, "O-Oh god, why did I say that?"
"Because you used to call me that?" Namjoon asked, tilting his head.
"S-Shut up!" Seokjin punched Namjoon's chest, hearing a small groan, but it's not from his husband, it's Jungkook.
Both Namjoon and Seokjin immediately rushed to Jungkook, checking his condition. "Jungkookie? Are you alright?" Seokjin whispered gently.
Jungkook's eyes fluttered open as he blinked a few times, before his eyes focused on the two familiar faces hovering above him. "Appa... Eomma?" He whispered, heart sank when he remembered what had happened.
"T-Taehyung..." Jungkook asked, "Where's Taehyung?"
Namjoon exchanged a glance with Seokjin before answering, "Taehyung's not here."
Jungkook's eyes welled up with tears, attempted to sit up but Seokjin was quick to stop him. "Lay down first, baby. Don't panic." He used his hand to sooth Jungkook's chest.
"E-Eomma... I really like Taehyung-" "I know, baby. Saw you kissing him at your birthday." Seokjin teased, making Jungkook's cheeks flushed.
Namjoon stared at Seokjin with raised eyebrow, and his husband was quick to return him a glare.
Jungkook sniffled, if he has bunny ears, they will be flopping down in sadness. "T-Then are you going to stop me from meeting him like how appa did?" He asked, staring at Seokjin with his wide Bambi eyes that filled with tears.
Seokjin felt his heart broke into pieces when he saw Jungkook's face expression, "Of course not, baby. I have talked to your appa just now, he's not stopping you anymore."
"R-Really?" Jungkook looked at Namjoon with hopeful eyes, getting a rather forceful nod from the older.
"But I swear if anything bad happens to you, I will sure cut him into pieces-" "Thank you so much, appa!" Jungkook exclaimed, opening his arms wide to get a hug from Namjoon, smiling until his bunny teeth were shown.
Watching the how happy his son looks, Namjoon quickly walked forward and hugged the boy tightly.
Seokjin was right. All they need to do is to keep Jungkook happy.
