The morning air was crisp, and the anticipation inside the wolves' den was palpable. Hoseok stood in the center of the room, his nerves concealed behind a calm exterior as the others gathered around him. The time had come for them to read Chaewon's dream, a task filled with great risk and uncertainty. Seokjin, with his ever-composed expression, stood to the side, overseeing everything, while Taehyung lingered in the background, silent and brooding.Chaewon lay peacefully on a low bed, her breathing slow, eyes closed, waiting for the dream to unfold. A faint blue light emanated from the stones placed around her, casting long shadows that flickered in the dimly lit room. The air shimmered as Seokjin raised his hands, his voice a soft murmur, uttering an ancient incantation that seemed to seep into the very walls.
Hoseok, positioned by Chaewon's side, closed his eyes and inhaled deeply, feeling the ancient magic stir within him. A moment later, the energy surged through him, like the cool rush of a river, pulling him into Chaewon's dream world. His senses sharpened, colors and shapes becoming surreal as he slipped into her mind.
Suddenly, Hoseok found himself standing in an ethereal meadow, bathed in soft golden light. The world was quiet, almost too still, and ahead of him, two figures walked hand in hand. One of them had unmistakably blonde hair, catching the light like spun gold. Hoseok's heart raced—he knew that figure, he would recognize Taehyung anywhere. The man beside him was hidden, only his back visible, but the way their hands intertwined sent a shiver down Hoseok's spine.
Without thinking, Hoseok called out, "Taehyung!"
His voice echoed, shattering the delicate stillness. In an instant, the world around him rippled, dark tendrils of energy curling out of the ground, creeping toward the two figures. Hoseok's eyes widened as he realized his mistake—he had forgotten the one rule. He wasn't supposed to interfere, not in this realm, not in Chaewon's vision of the future.
The world lurched violently. Chaewon's unconscious body in the real world trembled, her breathing quickening as her mind struggled to cope with the disruption. The dreamscape turned chaotic, the once-peaceful meadow distorting into a swirling storm of shadows. Hoseok's chest tightened with dread as Chaewon, trapped in her own dream, fell deeper into unconsciousness.
Back in the room, the others gasped as Chaewon's body convulsed slightly. The glow from the stones flickered and dimmed. Seokjin's eyes narrowed, and with a swift motion, he signaled to the others.
"Gather around! Quickly!" Seokjin's voice, usually calm and measured, was now filled with urgency. The rest of the group moved in closer, forming a tight circle around Chaewon and Hoseok.
Seokjin's hands moved in intricate patterns above the stones as he began whispering in an ancient tongue. The words flowed like music, soft at first, but growing louder with each passing second. The room itself seemed to pulse with the rhythm of the incantation, the walls shimmering with a faint glow as the magic intensified.
Jisoo's voice joined Seokjin's, followed by Taehyung's and the others'. The air thickened, crackling with unseen power, and the light in the room grew brighter, swirling around Chaewon's form like a protective barrier. A powerful force surged between them, as if the very fabric of the dream world was being unraveled and rewoven.
Inside the dream, Hoseok could feel the pull of their voices, the power trying to draw him out. He glanced at the figures once more—the blonde hair, the touch of hands—and felt a deep pang of regret. He couldn't change what he had seen, not now. With a final look, he turned away from the dream and allowed himself to be pulled back into reality.
As he opened his eyes, gasping for air, the chanting reached its crescendo. The light around Chaewon flared, and with one last, powerful breath, she stirred. The room fell silent, the energy dissipating in an instant.
