Once you left the office, your heart was still racing. You couldn’t shake off the embarrassment and fear from your encounter with Suga. You reached for your phone, instinctively seeking comfort from the one person who could always make you feel better—Yoongi. With slightly trembling hands, you typed out a message, still feeling the sting of the moment.

You: Yoongi 🥺 I messed up so badly today...

Yoongi, sitting in his own office, saw the message pop up on his phone. His eyes narrowed as he opened it, curiosity piqued. He immediately replied.

Yoongi: What happened?

You let out a heavy sigh, your thumbs moving quickly across the screen as you explained everything.

You: I had to bring coffee to the CEO, and he was so angry on a call. I got so scared that I spilled coffee on his files! And then he yelled at me... well, kind of. I thought I was going to get fired on the spot.

As Yoongi read your message, a strange feeling came over him. His heart skipped a beat as the situation you described sounded all too familiar. He felt a chill run down his spine as he remembered his own reaction when his coffee was spilled earlier in the day. The image of you trembling in front of him, on the verge of tears, flashed through his mind again.

Was it possible…?

Yoongi’s grip tightened on his phone, his thoughts racing. Could it really be you? The girl he’d been talking to for months, unknowingly standing in front of him just hours ago? He couldn’t believe the coincidence. The fact that it played out the exact same way was enough to raise suspicion, but he couldn’t let his emotions show, not yet. He had to keep calm.

Yoongi: That sounds rough...

He paused before typing more, feeling a strange sense of guilt. The idea of you being that terrified in front of him, without knowing it was him, unsettled him deeply.

Yoongi: What did he do after?

You: He just told me to leave. I felt like I was going to cry in front of him, but I ran out before I made it worse.

Yoongi’s jaw clenched. He could picture the scene too vividly—because it had actually happened. But he couldn’t let you know yet. He needed time to process this, to figure out how he was going to handle the revelation. His fingers hovered over the screen as he composed himself.

Yoongi: Don’t beat yourself up over it. These things happen. The guy probably wasn’t mad at you, just stressed out from whatever he was dealing with. I’m sure it’ll blow over.

He forced himself to play it cool, despite the turmoil building inside him.

You: I hope so... I just feel so embarrassed! I don’t want him to think I’m useless on my first week.

Yoongi took a breath, his mind racing with a hundred different thoughts. " You work in my company " , he realized, the truth slowly sinking in. He had spent months getting to know you, building a strange, unspoken connection, and now, you were right under his nose. The irony of the situation was almost laughable, but there was nothing funny about the feelings he was starting to recognize inside himself.

Yoongi: You’re not useless. He’ll see that too. Just stay calm and do your job. You’ll be fine.

His words were steady, but underneath them, his mind was already scheming, trying to figure out his next move. Should he tell you the truth? Or should he wait and let the pieces fall into place on their own?

One thing was for sure—things had just gotten much more complicated.

After your conversation, Yoongi couldn’t shake the feeling that you might really be the girl working in his company. He started piecing together small clues, going back to previous conversations you'd had, trying to confirm his suspicion without giving himself away.
