Part 6 They took her

The next day came quickly. You found yourself walking toward the park, the same one where you and Yoongi had talked before. The sun was shining brightly, and the sound of birds chirping filled the air. You had agreed to meet Yoongi here again, but this time, things felt different. The tension from before was gone, replaced by a sense of calm and familiarity.

As you reached the park bench, you saw Yoongi already sitting there, looking at his phone. He glanced up when he saw you approach and smiled, that small, subtle smile you had come to recognize.

Yoongi: "You’re early today."

You: "I could say the same about you."

He scooted over to make room for you on the bench. You sat down beside him, feeling more at ease than you had the day before. There was no awkwardness, no uncertainty—just two people, sitting together.

For a moment, neither of you spoke, just enjoying the peacefulness of the park. Finally, Yoongi broke the silence.

Yoongi: "I was thinking about what you said yesterday."

You glanced at him, curious.

You: "Which part?"

Yoongi: "About how it’s lonely, being me. You’re right. It is. But... it’s also made me realize that maybe I don’t have to keep people at a distance anymore."

You raised an eyebrow, surprised by his honesty.

You: "That’s... a big step for you."

He nodded, looking out at the trees as if gathering his thoughts.

Yoongi: "Yeah. It’s not easy, but I don’t want to live my life shut off from everyone. You showed me that there’s more to it. That I can trust people."

His words hung in the air, and you felt a warmth in your chest. This was a side of Yoongi you hadn’t expected to see—someone willing to let his guard down, to open up in a way that was rare for him.

You: "I’m glad you feel that way. You don’t have to do everything alone, you know."

Yoongi turned to you, his eyes soft and serious.

Yoongi: "I know. And I’m starting to believe that."

You both sat there for a while, the silence comfortable. It felt like something had shifted between you two—a deeper understanding, a shared connection. Yoongi was no longer just the mafia king, or your boss. He was someone you could trust, and maybe even... something more.

Finally, Yoongi stood up, stretching his arms.

Yoongi: "Come on, let’s go get some coffee. I think we’ve earned a break from all this heavy talk."

You laughed, standing up to join him.

You: "You and your coffee... alright, let’s go."

As you walked side by side, heading toward the nearest café, you couldn’t help but smile. Things were changing, and for the first time, you were okay with that.

As you and Yoongi walked off together, unaware of what was happening in the shadows, someone across the park had their camera trained on you both. Click. Click. Click. The camera snapped several shots of the two of you, smiling and walking side by side.

A few moments later, those photos were sent to an unknown number.

In a dark, shadowy room, a person sat alone, illuminated only by the faint glow of a phone screen. The images of you and Yoongi appeared on the screen, and a low, sinister chuckle echoed in the room.
