Ezekiel scurried through the labyrinthine alleyways of the Lower District, his claws clicking softly against the damp stone.

He paused at the edge of a darkened alley, his nose picking up the faint scent of ozone and rust. His  eyes scanned the broken landscape. In the distance,

"Ugh... I swear DG is pissing me off with late deliveries... Where is my fucking stuff..."

Ezekiel hesitated, his claws flexing nervously. With a low growl, Ezekiel darted forward, his small frame blending into the shadows.

Suddenly he bumped into someone, tripping over them. His small and light body on top of the stranger.

"Shit, man! I swear you scared life out of me, are you okay? Geez it's all Guy's fault, I swear..."

Damon was walking down the streets of the city. He had no rush so he walked in a slow pace as his hands were slipped into his red coat and his mind lost in some thoughts

He wasn’t going anywhere in particular, just taking a walk to clear his mind. Maybe walking alone in a dark alley wasn’t the best idea… but he wouldn’t stay there too long..

The end of the coat swung softly at every step he made and his face was almost all covered by his hair and the hood.

He was walking peacefully, not even minding where he was going, knowing that no one would take such a scary hallway.. Until now.

His steps immediately stopped feeling someone bumping into him, but before he could realize, the two were tripping over. He quickly pulled his hands out from the pockets and held the boy by his arms, causing the smaller to fall on top of him

“Ah..”

that’s all he could say, too shocked by what quickly happened to say something. He sat up a bit, letting the male go

"yeah, i-i’m sorry… i wasn’t looking..”

he said as he looked away, his ears lowered a bit before looking back at him and getting up from the dirty ground, helping the smaller as well

“..you’re waiting for someone?”

he asked as he cleaned his coat with a hand

“I-i mean. Not that i want to know your business.. But it’s not the safest place here”

The Ray's eyes widened upon looking up at the stranger.

"huh? Ah, shit shit shit"

He grumbled and helped the stranger clean his coat.

"Huh? Just waiting for a delivery here, I live too far from the delivery area and ... You know, I wasn't expecting someone to be here beside me, aren't you scared to be here alone?"

He said as if he wasn't the one who was alone here either.

"Uh- anyway, you should head out, the delivery guy should be here any minute, this jerk will do anything to scare me and I don't want others to hear me yell"

His cheeks tinted with a soft blush as the smaller guy helped him to clean his coat, he widened his eyes surprised and waved his hands to stop him

“T-that’s fine!! Don’t worry… as long as you’re okay, I don’t care about an old coat”

He said, putting back his hands into his pocket like his usual, as he looked at the smaller with a shy smile listening to the male

“Mhm.. I could say the same.. But I don't live too far from here, I was just taking a walk.. I know the streets here, and I know I’m not an easy target unlike you
