Selena, at first, had the perfect life. Her parents made good money, she was a honor roll student, she had plenty of friends, and she had what she wanted. Soon after, her parents started fighting. More and more everyday. At this age she was five. Even though she was young , she understood what was going on. Well, one night Selena and her mom were in Selena's room because her mom didn't want to sleep with her dad. So instead of Selena telling her dad goodnight, she called him from her room. She caught an attitude with her dad and he didn't like it. As Selena heard her dad hang up the phone, her mom was fussing at her to call him back and apologize, but her dad had crashed into the room and grabbed her mom by her hair, Yelling at her " You taught her to talk to me like that? This is all your fault!" Selena jumped on her mother's back and started screaming " Daddy stop it!" Next, her mom went to her closet and started packing her things. Selena's dad was following right behind her yelling and going off. Selena followed as well. With the blink of an eye her mom called the police. The policeman sat Selena on the top of his car as her dad was handcuffed in the backseat. The police officer asked Selena, " Did you see your daddy put his hands on mommy?" Selena looked back at her dad, put her head down, and mumbled yes. The police officer took him to jail. Before Selena even knew it, she was going to have her whole life changed right before her very eyes.
