By now, Selena is ten. She is in the fourth grade. Even with her bad grades she still managed to pass. Her mom, still dating the same guy she was before, and her dad, still abusing her. Her mom got a job for an auto auction. She would transport cars to other auctions. It was a horrible childhood for a kid. She had grown up way before she was supposed to, but she had no other choice. Fourth grade was one of the hardest years of her childhood. The teachers were yelling and screaming at her because she was completing her homework, was getting D's and F's, and would fall asleep during class. Nobody talked to her. She had no friends. Her schedule would go from being picked up at school. Her mother would take her with her to the auction. They would get in a car. And they would drive to wherever they had to bring the car. Most of the time it was to Mississippi. So they would drive four hours away and as they were driving during the day, she would try to do homework, but during the night, they rode back sometimes in a eighteen wheeler and sometimes they drove back. Either way she couldn't see to do the rest of of her home work during the night. She couldn't sleep either. So it would be an eight hour drive after school. She would get back to school just in time for the bell, and she had to start the day all over again. The school and the teachers would never know what she was going through. This lasted two years. From fourth grade all the way to fifth.
